Audio-Technica AT-HS10BK 1/2" Universal Headshell for 4-Pin Turntable Cartridges, Black

Purchased this due to the gold-plated wire connectors. Using this with new Hana SL cartridge I will also be reviewing. They work fantastically well together on my Technics SL1200GR turntable. I have used quite a few headshells and this is one of my favorites.

I was very surprised at how sturdy and hi end it looked. Install was very easy. Build quality is amazing. Highly recommended A+++.

Just be aware this is heavy and that you can get the proper tracking force with your counter weight. But this is a great headshell for someone looking to match a certain compliance with a tonearm or cartridge since many other headshells are lighter.

This ended up not working for the cartridge i was trying to align, but it is well made, comes with various length screws and great fold out instructions/drawings. Lightweight low mass and packaged nicely. A bit pricey but def good quality.

I bought this shell when I upgraded my Audio Technica AT-120LP turntable with a new Audio Technica VM740ML cartridge. The shell and cartridge are made for each other, and the installation was simple and the shell attaches perfectly to the tone arm of the turntable. I preferred to have both my old cartridge and my new one in separate shells so I can interchange them easily if I wish. If you wish to, or need to, replace the cartridge on your AT turntable, I recommend you get one of these for each cartridge you own and wish to be able to use again.

Great quality and easy installation, I have it working as second headshell on my Fluance turntable.
