Look good and very comfortable
I loved the Peregrine 12s and I love these even more. Lugs perfect for mud and trails. No wearing in needed (unlike my other Sauconys) and keep me supported and comfortable for runs of well over 20 miles on all sorts of terrain. I struggle to find shoes in colours I actually like and usually end up having to go with really girlie colours. I love this colour way though.

Light and cushioned
It always takes me ages to get used to new running shoes and these were no exception, which is why it's taken me so long to write this review! At first glance, I loved the colour and how light they are - the perfect summer runner. At first, I found them a little narrow despite going up one size from my shoe size which I usually do. However, months in and I've grown to love these. In fact, they're my favourite running shoes and I have several pairs. It's winter time now and I've worn them out so they got really muddy! I washed them in a zipped pillowcase in the washing machine and they've come up really well. They're light as I said and they dry quickly too.I might look for some more in a different colour and keep these for the gym through winter..

Great fit, great shoes!
These were exactly as I expected, as I've had this model before. Color is true to computer screen.

Great for trail running- excellent traction and response
First of all I have used Saucony (most specifically Peregrines) for years during my trail runs and races in Colorado and in the Alps. I LOVE Saucony brand. The traction is spot on and I have never ever slid and fell, even in mucky or snowy conditions. Yes, the uppers tend to wear thin with major use but for the breathability and the fact that they dry so quickly with any wet conditions is a big pay off for me. Also the fact that they are well below average price range for great trail shoes, I don't mind if I have to shell out more for another set. What I have gotten used to doing is buying 2-3 pairs and just rotating them on occasion to make them last longer. The rock plate protects my feet from sharp rocks, the heel cup fits snug without excessive rubbing, the laces snug the uppers without too much rub either. I buy an extra half size bigger than my normal shoe to allow for big descents that don't mash up my toes. The shoes are light and lightly padded at a 4mm drop. All that said, I haven't yet tried the 13s and am excited as I heard great improvements have been made to the next version.I have had knee surgery recently and found as I got back into running these hurt the balls of my feet a little. I blame my feet not the shoe as I haven't been on my feet as much as I used to. I ended up buying Saucony's Xodus Ultra (1 not 2) with a 6mm drop and a bit more cushion and I absolutely LOVE them. So if you are needing more cushion than the peregrines offer look to the xodus.

Good sole, nice look
The sole on this shoe has good grip and the upper is well-stitched and comfortable. The are only two things I don't love about this shoe - there is a little extra cushion on the back of the heel on the upper that rubs a tiny bit on my Achilles tendon - it hasn't caused a problem but I suspect if I hiked a long hike it might start to bug me. The other thing is that the heel is a little more elevated than I would like - I would prefer a flatter, more level shoe bed vs. a slight heel rise.

Recommend
I bought these shoes for a trip I'm going on where I'll be doing both road running and hiking. I only get one carry on so I have to think about bringing versatile items that can pull double duty. This is by far my favorite brand of road running shoes so naturally I wanted to find a Saucony trail runner. This first time I wore them I went hiking with my son and they rubbed the back of my ankles raw. My son said, why would you wear no show socks with sneakers? I said, bc I always wear no show socks with sneakers. So I went out and bought some appropriate socks and tried again. This time, the shoes were perfect. They lace up really high so you have to unlace and retie them Everytime you wear them (with my road running Saucony shoes I can slip them off and on without untying them). That is a pro in my book bc when it comes to hiking, I don't want my shoes flying off my feet. All in all, good shoes. Wear appropriate socks.
