Perfect
I was using a Hobbywing and decided to try out some different offerings. Picked up the Trinity mx8 pro. What a mistake. I snagged this Tekin with high hopes. Didn’t disappoint. If you race this is your ESC.

I have a few HOBBYWINGS / CASTLE 's (ESC) currently and granted they are great for the cost
Got this to use in a SERPENT SRX8e 1/8 buggy. I have a few HOBBYWINGS / CASTLE 's (ESC) currently and granted they are great for the cost, the TEKIN walks all over the HOBBYWING's.What is the most important difference between the two ESC's ? The TEKIN RX8 gen3 is a MUCH smoother feel, closer to a nitro car than a electric. Quite important considering the Buggy weighs almost 10 lbs, and mistakes can go bad FAST.Here is the part that really sold me and why i am leaving this review....The TEKIN RX8 gen3 handles NICD batteries perfectly, no glitch busters, no stutters, no low voltages at RX, ETC... Yes, i am the oddball that still uses NICD's , i STILL have batteries that are over 20 years old, still holding 95% of their rating. NICD's have NO "C" rating and there is NEVER a worry about fires or ruining a 100dollar battery. (i use a TURBOTHIRTY CHARGER)The RX8 has handled 16 NICD's with ease, and just for the heck of it , i tried a low turn brushed motor with no issues. (USE A FAN IF YOU PUSH A MOTOR THIS HARD!)at the end of the day, i will get another for my WIFE'S SMT10, because she even likes how smooth it is.TEKIN, you are back from almost going under, and it really shows how hard your trying. this is WORLD CLASS ESC and reminds an old guy how companies still thrive to be the best. Its ashamed TEKIN doesn't make chargers any more, but if they are concentrating all there efforts in the speed control dept and it surly shows. I MISS the BC112a/c but wouldn't give up this ESC if they did bring it back !!NOTE: i got a few comments about my battery connectors, and i would like to add this information before people comment to me, these- ANDERSON POWER POLE connectors are RATED at 45 AMPS @ 110V CONSTANT. look up the UL and national TESTS, you might be surprised how all connectors rate. PSS: its actually BETTER to CRIMP your RC car connectors. ( same standard as boats and airplanes )

Disliked by many at my track
These esc's are too fragile, but I switched to Trinity because of Tekin's customer service. It seems most racers dislike Tekin at my track. The new gen2 Trinity is better in every way and it has Bluetooth built-in.
