Q: Received the wrong screen and got sm-a125f which is not compatible, instead of sm-a125u

If you ordered the a125f that is not compatible then just send it back with the explaination of "not as described" as you were clearly led there believing it is the sm-a 125u. Then re-order.

I believe that if you want the gold phone then you will have to purchase the whole phone. All screen replacements come in black.

This is most likely a problem with the connector however less than 5% of products can be what they call DOA. Just send the bad one back with explanation "defective" or check the cable connections by removing and re-seating them to see if it fixes it first.
