Empero is a selective herbicide formulated to target yellow and purple nutsedge as well as green Kyllinga without negatively impacting the established turfgrass species. Never apply to newly seeded or stressed lawns.

Are there any tips to improve nutsedge control?

Apply when weeds are actively growing and not stressed from heat or drought. If the soil is dry, water the night before application. Repeat applications may be needed for larger weeds and green Kyllinga. Allow several weeks for complete weed kill.

Once opened, what is the shelf life?

Empero will be effective for a minimum of three years when stored in a cool, dry space.

What is the time interval between applications?

Allow 6-10 weeks between applications of Empero.

Is re-application necessary after a rain shower?

Empero is rainfast after four hours. If rainfall occurs within four hours of treatment, reduced effectiveness may occur and a second application may be needed.
