Must use screw drivers to pry belts on
I started a return because I thought I was sent the wrong belts for my dc33. I found a video that helped a lot with getting the small belt on. Do a search for "Replace the Clutch Belts Dyson DC07 DC14 or DC33 video" and you should find the same video where the guy used screw drivers to pry the belt on. The belts will stretch.

I strongly consider maintenance in your vacuum before trading up to something new!
In my household, we’ve had a Dyson DC 14 vacuum since 2010. And it wasn’t until recently I decided to maintenance mine, which was showing signs of poor suction and sweeping. Besides giving it a very much needed deep clean. I also replace the HEPA filter and blue and yellow filter after a decade plus a few years of work. It wasn’t until I replaced the belt that finally gave out after 13 long years in July. I notice I got the performance back that I haven’t seen in a very long time after replacing the belt. I’m glad to see that it’s able to pick up all the dust and debris with ease. I wish I would’ve did it sooner! I was considering the brand new Dyson, but that one costs 499$ vs new belts!
