Laura Geller Baked Balance-N-Brighten Powder Foundation, PORCELAIN, 0.06 oz Travel Size

I ordered the travel size in porcelain in order to sample it; I was torn between the porcelain and fair. It was packaged in double bubble wrap so I was surprised to receive the product so damaged. The powder was loose inside the bubble wrap and broken up into clumps. Even the tiny mirror was broken. As for the makeup itself, I'm still on the fence. I was able to salvage enough to use with a sponge applicator and I got a nice light coverage. I think I need to try the fair before I decide. I just hope the fair doesn't look as yellow on my face as it does on my computer screen.

I've been hearing about this product for ages but was on the fence about purchasing. Fortunately, the travel size was reasonably priced and I thought I'd give it a try. I am in my 60s and was looking for something lightweight that won't settle into lines and that I can use on days I'm not doing full makeup and need something quick. I've never tried a powder foundation before. My first impression wasn't a good one. I didn't like the coverage and the shine it left on my skin. But I tried again and I had much better results. I think the trick is skin prep with moisturizer and working with the product. It is buildable but you just can't slap it on and expect good results. I found that the more I buffed it the better it looked. It left my skin tone looking even and it did last all day. I don't know that I like it enough to buy a regular size but it does look good when you take your time (or just figure out how to work with powder foundations). It did not feel heavy on my skin and I liked that.

I like the light color for highlighting but it has too much glitter.
