Boomba RacingSHORT SHIFT PLATE Compatible with 2015+ Subaru WRX

I had this part installed, but did not like how heavy and short it made the shifts. Great if you prefer short and notchy throws.

Installed at the same time as the Group N transmission mount and a brass shifter bushing. Definitely much more notchy. Throws aren't ridiculously short like you could get in something like a Miata, but they are noticeably shorter. Not sure if I'd do it again or not due to the difference not being super noticeable, but I suppose it's not a bad choice.

This thing was an absolute nightmare to install. 75% of the work is in crazy tight spaces so grab your friend with the smallest hands to do it! Great results though. Also have the boomba short shifter installed and the car feels awesome with both the shifter plate and short shifter.

Definitely a must for any WRX and should be the first modification! It took me over a year before i jumped on this. Retrospectively, this should have been one of my first mod. Shifts are much crisper, cleaner with great feedback. Also, shifts are shorter as advertised. Great quality as well. Installation was a little more challenging however. Just have to be more patient and have all the tools near by.

Installed with Perrin bushing. Throws are nice and short. Nice notchy feel gives a definite click when you come out of and go into gear. Much more precise feel probably due to the bushing. I really had no complaints about the stock shifter feel but after making the switch I don’t think I could go back. A must have for any wrx. And adding the Perrin bushing at the same time literally takes about 5 seconds longer to install. In all took about 2 hrs to do the whole job.

I had heard mixed reviews about installing this in combination with the short shifter. My experience with this has been awesome. The driving experience is so much more precise. I'm addicted to the shift.

I'm giving this a 3 star because this is a PAIN to install. I'm talking about a HUGE PAIN to install. Took me for ever to put this on, but I did. Great material, but honestly I don't feel any difference in shifts. Just buy a short shifter, bushing, short stop, and a weighted shift knob and you'll be good. If you want to be like me and get it all, then you should do it. Just know its extremely difficult to install. Other than the installation this would receive a 5 star.

Had to take it too a shop because I don’t have a garage or lift. You could probably do it at home if you had the time, tools and patience. I don’t haha.Still it’s bigger and heavier than the stock shifter plate. I have no regrets installing this with the Boomba short throw shifter.Way better than stock
