It does lift heavy items, but know that this item itself is very heavy. Our primary use is to remove items from the huge tub top load washer and side door deep dryer, where we can't get by arm's length. Also it helps getting items down from the top shelf of the pantry.

I bought this for my elderly parents to use so they stop getting up on the small step ladder. (Dad already fell once). I do not think anyone in their 70s can/should use this to pick up anything heavier or larger than a large paper towel roll. But for anything that size and smaller it works great. If only I could get my parents to use it when I am not there visiting.

Bought this to use a work to grab 4.5in jars off a top shelf, the wide mouth opening and the suction cup design grabbers makes this a breeze, I had tried to use other grippers in the past, but this is the only one that I've tried that worked. Purchased on Jun 19, 2019, and still going strong.

Having multiple disabilities and needing a good reach tool in the other end of my home. especially with heavy duty Wider grip end. I thought I'd found a great tool. After 10 minutes of trying it out and not on anything Heavy....the Locking mechanism Broke. SO Sad. Tried to still use, BUT Took both hands to try and hard squeeze the handle to not drop the item which made Very difficult to balance & manuver as required. Hope maker will do a reliable Lock . Otherwise seemed "beefy"

Have been using one like this for years in the garage & outside. Purchased this one so I would have another for my Mother to use in the house. Simple to use & it works.

Junk. Doesn't even close all the way. Can't pick up anything

It is too big and long for my preference. I pinched my fingers twice while using it.
