Extraordinary Value
An amazing knife - especially for the cost. Feels like it cost 3x as much. Smooth action, very sharp out of box. No visible flaws.

Best knife for the price!
His knife has quickly become my favorite EDC blade because it's light, solidly built, and has a great usable blade profile. It does anything from gut a trout to open an envelope comfortably. 5/5

One if my favorite Sencuts
The Naches is one if my favorite Sencut models. It's perfectly simple. What an EDC pocket knife should be like. Perfect size, feels great in the hand, and a very sharp slicey blade. I have 3 of these (brown & green micarta & black G10) and the action feels identical on all 3 of them. Very snappy "no fail" open & with alittle oil they are drop shut out of the box. The only thing that could make this knife alittle bit better would have been just a bit more real estate on the liner-lock bar for the thumb to land on. But I would recommend any version of this knife, especially for under $30.

10Cr15CoMoV is a very nice steel
I think highly of We/Civivi/Sencut knives, both in terms of their design and quality and the customer service behind such products. I know that, for Sencut, they still dedicate a relatively high level of quality to the manufacturing and keep the price points within budget friendly levels by using lesser blade steels such as 9cr18mov and D2 (still good steels but obviously not premium). That’s why I was pleasantly surprised by Sencut’s use of 10cr15comov on the Neches. As an alloy, that steel is very similar to VG10 and, like my VG10 blades, the Neches blade can attain a very fine edge and maintain that edge through use for a respectable amount of time. I haven’t used the Neches enough to opine on its toughness or corrosion resistance but, for an EDC knife, toughness is nice but not of critical importance and, as for corrosion resistance, I see no reason why the Neches blade should differ from VG10’s relatively high level of stainlessness since the two steels are so similar chemically. Therefore I am also surprised that Neches has not sold very well - presumably it’s being discontinued because sales have fallen short, which is a shame because, at its level of performance, the Neches would have been a great value at its original street price, let alone its discounted sale price. I hope that Sencut will continue using 10cr15comov on at least some of their future models. Hopefully those would sell well if imbued with Sencut’s usual high quality of manufacturing and if the market understood better what 10cr15comov is about.Neches is a slicey and versatile knife, and very well-suited for EDC purposes. The only thing that I would be slightly wary of using it for is food prep. That’s due to the 10cr15comov blade steel of the Neches having a small amount of cobalt, which is great for enhancing a blade’s performance but considered on its own as a carcinogen under certain situations. I am not a metallurgist and, although I think that the cobalt in the Neches blade, being in an alloy in such small proportion (1.3-1.8%), shouldn’t present any material issues of the cobalt leaching into food during the Neches’ use in food prep, I personally would avoid using my Neches for such purpose simply because I don’t have to take the risk, minimal as it might be (I have so many knives to choose from that don’t contain cobalt). This is my own take and certainly not meant as any kind of medical or other professional advice.

Extremely beautiful knife
The knife itself is sharp and elegant and well built. The included case has an extremely soft interior and the wiping cloth is tough and effective.Everything here is quality. At this price, it is a no-brainer.

Good enough
This is a solid 8/10 knifeIt’s a bit on the heavy side for its size, but it’s 10Cr15Mo, so it’s gonna hold an edge quite well, it’s got a small silhouette, and action is smooth, if I could change anything, I’d have the flipper be a tad bigger, as it’s not quite as easy as other Sencut options, still a good knife tho, and would make 90% of people quite happy to own

Passed my test
Every time I get a new knife and start to use and handle it I can tell within an hour or so if I made a good choice. One of my main new knife judging criteria is whether or not I inadvertently stab or cut myself in that time. I usually do one or the other and sometimes both. If I don't injure myself I figure the knife is a dud and I probably shouldn't have bought it. Well now...two band-aids in, I can report that this knife is definitely a keeper!I'm very pleased with the blade flipping action and out of the box sharpness. . It's definitely a handsome EDC piece with a nice (2.8oz) weight and the lightly textured G10 handle looks and feels great. I love a deep carry knife and this checks that box too. The 10Cr15CoMov blade steel equivocates to Japanese VG-10 so what's not to like? I scored it a 95% on the paper cut testing. The only slight negative as reported by a few other reviewers is that there should have a been a little bit more of a cutout for one's thumb to reach and activate the liner lock to close. Having said that I'm already getting used to working it and it's not a problem.Bottom line is I'm very pleased with this knife and give it two (uncut) thumbs up.

Gut und günstig
Ein mittelgroßes Taschenmesser in perfekter Verarbeitung. Klinge spielfrei und mittig. Flipper funktioniert bestens.
