Very happy with my purchase.
I have an 86 K10 with long tube hooker headers that was having heat soak issues with the oem design starter. I originally purchased a Powermaster starter from jegs but it was the wrong one, I needed the staggered bolt hole design. I mounted this starter and positioned the solenoid on the bottom. Removed it and put blue loctite on the threads and torqued them to spec per instructions. Reinstalled starter into place and torqued to spec which I believe was thirty some foot lbs. Ive had it on the truck for a few weeks now and its working perfectly. 383 stroker with a 700r4 transmission. Very happy with my purchase. Also, the instructions clearly state to not use a heat blanket, it will void the warranty, so don't waste your time/money ordering one, you don't need it.

Love it
Starts my high compression 327 in my cj7 with ease.. best part, i utilized all 3 mounting holes cause my last starter broke 2 and flew out in the woods.

fits 1981 corvette 350
just installed today, so can't talk about long term...fired up immediately....unit is about half the weight of the stock starter...also smaller, so has better clearance from the exhaust...ignition and power connectors are much more easily accessible (from underneath) than on the stock starter, but are way too close to one another, so be extra careful not to short them together...the stock heat shield doesn't fit the new starter easily, so i left it off (instructions say not to use a heat wrap with the new starter, but a metal shield is ok)....the ignition connector post is a little thicker than on the stock starter, so i had to use a small round file to open up my wire connectors just a bit...anyway, so far, so good...we'll see...
