I bought this to replace the mic windshield that came with the Sony ZV-1f that looked tired and sad within a few days. It works well as a windshield but I think it’s a really nice upgrade because of the incorporated cold shoe adapter. Now I don’t have to remove the windshield every time I want to mount an external mic or light to access a hidden cold shoe.

I lost the windshield which came in the box and had to replace it. These are pretty much the only option - but the good news is that they are decidedly better then the original version and really nice quality. A great replacement - but not worth buying as an "upgrade".
