I bought this in preparation for my hysterectomy surgery. I had my surgery on Monday and began wearing the binder today (thursday). I am surprised at how much my stomach has swelled.The binder feels so supportive and it feels comforting wearing it. I am a uk size 10 and bought the s/m. It wrapped really well before surgery and at the moment I can only just fit into it. However I know this is the right size as the swelling will subside and it still feels very comfortable.Great product, well made.

This is so much better than the binder I got from the hospital but I would agree with others that it is a little long in the body for those with a shorter torso or for women. The support is amazing, also super easy to adjust to get the right fit, as mentioned only downside is I feel it is a little uncomfortable under the breast area when sat down, as it all pushes up and can dig in a little, hence the 4 stars and not 5.

This is the best hernia belt I've used. The tampered shape fits better around a hernia than a flat belt. The slightly more rigid material stops the belt rolling up. The additional band supplies targeted support to the hernia itself without having to over-tighten the entire belt. The material is comfortable on bare skin. The length of the region the Velcro can attach to is much longer than in other belts I've tried meaning the belt can accommodate a wide range of sizes (as my hernia grows or the belt loosens with wear) rather than having to keep buying new sizes. This belt is just so well thought out I can't praise it enough. The only very minor criticism is that the rigid material and wide belt can slightly dig in and become uncomfortable when seated so if seated for a long period I use an older softer belt. This is not really a criticism though as the more rigid material is necessary to stop the belt rolling up when I'm active and that's when I need a quality belt the most.

Best belt we have ever had . Very sturdy but lightweight and easy to wear . Doesnt roll at the top or cut in . Excellent product,worth paying a bit more for

I think this belt is a very well designed belt. Firm, and strong so it keeps your back straight as well as sucks your abdomen in. I definitely recommend. BUT! If you have a short torso like me, it might not be for you. It is better for men because they done have a bust like women so they could put it higher up to fit the area better. As a female i think its too wide it doesnt fit under my rib cage to the hip comfortably as it goes over my hip. But i have a short torso, so it might not be the case for others. I am sad because it is an amazing belt otherwise and wish I could have kept it but if they bring out a thinner one I will buy it.

Not as expected. Came up small rather than medium. Nice material. Perfik stitching. But material wasn't supportive enough. Too elastic... OK if holding in body fat or over loose skin. But defo NOT a Hernia.

More then pleasantly surprised by the quality of fabric and the great stitching & comfort. It gives great support even in 2LX....😁😁👏👏👏

I developed an abdominal hernia at a surgical site about 4 1/2 month after my operation as a result of prolongued coughing with bronchitis. I tried two other brands which were cheaper, but found that they rolled and could become uncomfortable. The abdominal binder above does not roll. It also comes with an extra support band. The velcro fastening is a lot easier to apply and remove that the other binders while being secure. The soft cotton interior is easier on my skin than the others. I believe that the more expensive binder was a better buy.

If I could only afford one binder, this would be the one. Of all the binders I have this is the most comfortable, but not the most slim under clothing. This binder WILL NOT ROLL OVER, it is the only one I have that is like that and the quality of this binder is much higher than the other Ortonyx models. I always put this binder on when I get home because it is so comfortable, but I frequently wear a different binder during the day as this one is noticeable under clothing. I sleep in a binder and this is the one. The Ortonyx ACOX524010 is also a great binder if you want one that slims under your clothes, it is less comfortable and it rolls badly if not rolled up for storage daily, but is very slimming.

I am 3 weeks post-op from my surgery. The binder the hospital supplies cannot be properly put on by yourself and I have a lot of strength. The post-op pain and doctors orders, prevents you from being able to put the strain on your abs that's needed to put on the hospital dispensed binder. I actually had to have my girlfriend next door help me when my husband was at work.The ORTONYX Breathable 9.5" Abdominal Binder was my answer . I love it because it's 9.5 inches tall instead of the hospital binder which is 11.5. The ORTONYX Breathable 9.5" Abdominal Binder doesn't roll or bunch up. The adjustable bands make it so easy to tighten or loosen the tension without having to remove the entire garment. Also, you can place the adjustable bands wherever you need additional support. For myself, this binder has definitely made my recovery process quicker and less painful.

I have a large inoperable incisional hernia and the is the best product I have tried. Others give much less support and are flimsy and complicated. This product keeps my stomach flat and contained and the area where the hernia is separating is pushed back together. I do not wear it super tight, just sort of tight. There is no way any other organs could pop through my huge hernia which was a worry. My doctor even said she wanted one because my stomach is so flat when I wear it. Without it I look as though I am 5 months pregnant with my bulging hernia. When I wear it you would never know I have this serious condition.
