What's the deal?
I was excited to get this cd, as I love the diner dash series, but Hometown hero would not work in story mode. I kept getting error messages even when changing my settings on my computer. Endless mode works fine, but I have never played hometown hero and wanted to play story mode. Flo on the good is working fine, which is weird because its on the same disk. Diner dash Boom was on a separate cd so no issues there. This is the third time I have had problems with a playfirst game. I will not be making anymore attempts to purchase Hometown Hero again.

Game arrived without an invoice slip. I have Windows 10 that was upgraded from Windows 7. I tried to run the games in every option under the compatibility mode and as the administrator. I have tried unsuccessfully to contact encore.com that makes the games through live chat and phone customer service. Neither would assist me, just suggested I search in the common trouble shooting forum for other customers searching for an answer. The cover box for these two CD-ROM shows system requirements include Win-Visto, 7, XP etc. Diner Dash Flo on the Go works about half the time when I play it. Diner Dash Boom 5 worked only once. I have downloaded all 3 games multiple times and tried to get assistance. I also have Diner Dash 2 which I bought from Big Fish games. They told me that they no longer sell Diner Dash (Flo) games. Previously, I had received these same games by download from their website and these games played without any issues. Hometown Hero and 5 Boom are on the same CD download but 5 Boom now shows an general extraction error-location ES1 message when I click the play button. Hometown hero gets a Windows error that says they will work on the issue but I have not received a response. I have been trying to play these games from this CD since 07/07. Hometown Hero's endless shift and Flo's closet/outfits are the only sections of this game that play. The CDs are suppose to offer an option to play directly from them without download but they do not. It is with great displeasure that I am unable to play these games that I was eager to purchase. When selling an item like this, compatibility should be listed for consumers to review prior to making a decision to purchase it.

Doesn't work with Windows Vista, 7, or 8
Two of the games on this CD work with newer operating systems, but one of them only works with an older version of Java that is only available for Windows XP. Aside from that, I have no complaints; my wife loves these games, and these are classics that shaped an entire genre of gaming.

Very disappointed.
Flo on the Go was the only game I could get to work on my computer. Hometown Hero crashes when I go into 'story mode' and I couldn't even get Diner Dash 5 to start up. Very disappointed.

Unable to play
Due to the total absence of unlock codes for both the 60 minute trial time games and the full access to the games purchased, I am unable to play ANY of the games on any of the 2 CD-Roms. What puzzles me most is that one of the trial games actually said trial time expired. I know I've not been able to play, so how could this be??? And how can Playfirst send paid for games that demand unlock codes in order to access them??? I know I cannot return them because I've opened them. So that's $15 wasted. Perhaps I'll turn them into decorative coasters.
