This part fit perfectly and fixed the issue with rough idle and hard starts

Fixed sudden dying of engine. I cleaned the old one, and it worked for a while, but it did not last long. The carbon varistor probably worn out after 15 years of abuse. Kudos.Update: December, 2016Well, it lasted almost 2 years, just over 10,000 miles on 2001 Odyssey. It stopped working suddenly. CEL and TCS came one. Pulled MIL(malfunction indicator lamp) code, P1491, EGR Insufficient Lift. Yes, it was working just fine until it stopped working suddenly.Contacted Dorman on-line Chat. Kevin answered and told me to contact [email protected] after he found out there is NO way to do a warranty return on-line with Amazon.com for 2+ year old item. So, good luck. Next time you might consider other purchasing choices. However, Amazon.com LLC helped me a lot. Kudos for Amazon.com for excellent support.

I had the same one previously with no problems but decided to clean my egr ports intake manifold and get a new egr. Put it in today and I got a check engine light on it saying egr valve lift problem. It’s brand new my cars ports have been completely cleaned this is not okay. I didn’t want to put this new one on until everything was clean and I get it in and it’s broken. And can’t return it? It’s immaculate. But I don’t think it functions because the egr ports are all cleaned and clear. Someone contact me and make it right I order a lot of Forman usually it’s good. The last one lasted years full of deposits. Not okay.Update it has worked fine since that first code 👍
