5 STARS- a MUST BUY if you already have the power head
I waited and waited to buy this for over a year, and I finally pulled the trigger. Boy, am I glad that I did! The EGO cultivator attachment is a great tool for anyone who wants an easier way to work up garden beds, flower beds, or small planting areas without dragging out a large tiller. It is especially handy for loosening soil, mixing in compost, and cleaning up areas before planting. I also tried it on just grass next to my already established garden and it absolutely tore it up! I am very impressed with the stability of Ego and all of their tools and attachments. The attachment feels sturdy and well-built, and it does a good job cutting into already workable soil. It is easy to control and much more convenient than a full-size gas cultivator, especially for raised beds, tight spaces, and smaller gardens. I also like that it keeps yard work quieter and cleaner compared to gas-powered equipment. Overall, it is a practical, time-saving, stable attachment and a great addition for anyone already using the EGO system. I truly feel like this is a good value for the money, if you already have the EGO power head. It literally takes 2 minutes tops to switch from a pole saw, to a string trimmer, to this.

A game-changer for hundreds of feet of garden beds.
As someone with an extensive landscape layout and hundreds of feet of garden beds to maintain, keeping clean edges has always been a brutal, multi-day chore when done manually. I already own several EGO tools and use their multi-head system, so I was highly eager to see if this Bed Redefiner attachment could actually handle the sheer volume of edging on our property. It completely exceeded my expectations. The build quality is exactly what I’ve come to expect from the EGO lineup—robust, well-balanced, and powerful. Battery life is excellent, easily giving me plenty of runtime to manage long stretches of property without constant swapping. The absolute key to loving this tool is understanding exactly what it is designed to do: it is a redefiner, not a primary trench digger. What it isn't for: Breaking entirely new, hard-packed turf to establish a brand-new garden bed from scratch. What it excels at: Rolling through established, existing beds to clean out overgrown grass, clear out debris, and leave a crisp, professional, sharp vertical edge. In terms of handling, EGO struck a great balance here. It has enough substantial weight to it that it doesn't bounce around or skip over rough patches, yet it remains incredibly easy to use and guide. It features very helpful visual edge indicators on the tool itself, which make it a breeze to line up and track your border accurately. Because it glides so easily along the boundary line with minimal physical exertion, it has completely changed my maintenance habits. Instead of putting off a dreaded manual chore until the edges look terrible, the low barrier to entry means I can easily do regular touch-ups to keep the yard looking pristine year-round. If you are already invested in the EGO platform and have a lot of property to manage, this is an indispensable addition to the tool shed. It turns a back-breaking task into a quick, satisfying project. Highly recommended.

Trim/Edge/ Brush Cut- O MY!
The elephant in the room: can this attachment replace a string trimmer, edger, and brush cutter? For many people, yes. Vs. String Trimmer: This cuts more precisely because you can see exactly where the blade ends. It does not “mulch” weeds the same way a string trimmer does, but it cuts clean. It is heavier than a trimmer, but once you get the hang of it, it glides along the ground and cuts at about one inch. In some ways, that makes it less tiring. It will cut anything a string trimmer will, plus a lot more. Big bonus: it does not sling debris all over your ankles, face, and eyes. Much safer. Also, no more string drama. Just sharpen the blade eventually. Vs. Brush Cutter: It is not as powerful as a true brush cutter. It will not chop down small trees or heavy brush, so it is a step down there. But again, it does not launch debris into your face, legs, and eyes. That is a major plus. Vs. Edger: I do not edge, so no comment . Bottom line: For most people, I would recommend buying this instead of buying all three other tools. If you have serious heavy brush, you will still need a brush cutter. Many people say that since buying this, they have not pulled out their string trimmer or brush cutter. I can see why.

Great product!
I bought this to use on artificial grass to try and clean the dirt, crumbled leaves, and moss from the nap of the grass carpet. WOW! This thing is awesome! Using it per instructions was a bit tough for me as I had to push down sort of hard to keep the brush from “walking” forwards and away from me. NOTE: try using this upside down! Just attach it to your Ego head, flip it over, then turn on and pull it towards you. MUCH easier to control and did a fantastic job scrubbing the artificial grass. I could not believe the tons of debris, dirt, moss, etc. that it scrubbed out. I did not wet the turf or apply any water or chemicals - best if done on a dry surface I found. WARNING: if you use as I have suggested, better wear long pants, old shoes, and safety glasses. It will cover you with the debris, but you will be amazed at how it looks when done, like new! I tried this on some dirt and loose gravel on my driveway and same fantastic result. I also tried it with some mildew cleaner on my driveway, but wasn’t satisfied with the result, that needed a heavier machine to get down into the concrete surface and scrub that stuff out. This is a great attachment to have if you need to scrub moss, dirt, rocks and such on some basis. As an aside, I tried it on snow on my driveway, pointed in the right direction this time, and it will push some snow (not ice) with no problem! Great addition to my Ego product set. Love all their stuff (except maybe the weed trimmer, never have luck with those). The hedge trimmer, tree trimmer, chain saw attachment (for limb ups and dropping small diameter trees) and the blower are all top performers in my experience.

Large, heavy & expensive
I’m going to say this to start, I haven’t used the broom yet. The reason being is that I bought the broom and power head together…but it doesn’t include a battery and charger. $290 more for a battery. The second thing I’ll mention is that this thing is huge when it’s assembled with the head. I’m not a little skinny guy but I can already see that this thing will qualify for a cardio session if you use it for 20 minutes. I’ll withhold judgement on its usefulness, but for what it cost it had better be damn good. Update: It’s a beast in several ways. It does a good job of sweeping but it is a handful. Smooth concrete is a piece of cake. It just slides along. I took it out on my asphalt driveway…oh my the work got real. It grabs into the asphalt and is real work to push forward. I have a large piece of carpet on my garage floor. I tried running it over the carpet…wow. Let’s just say I don’t need to go to the gym today. Something I hadn’t factored in that maybe I should have, it’s big. I tried to sweep my deck that has a railing. It’s impossible to get close enough to anything to actually clean it well. The dirt comes up but then gets shoved under the railing which requires me to get a broom to finish the job. I could see the benefit of this power broom for a concrete patio on grade or really anything that’s smooth and flat. It would probably work very well. If it’s rough or enclosed, good luck you’re in for a workout.

It even tears through roots!
I had some preconceived notions about any sort of electric/battery powered lawn equipment, but after getting the EGO lawnmower (love it), Power+ weed trimmer (love it), and pole saw (loveee it), I'm soo sold! I just finished successfully tearing up my entire back yard with this bad boy. It tore through thick mud, roots, and small rocks with zero issues and It was very easy to position/adjust to whatever depth I wanted based on the area. It's also veryyy useful as a compost mixer/turner I would defiantly spring for the carbon fiber version. A tool like this will get a lot of use and abuse, and carbon fiber wont bend like metal does. It's also lighter

You got to learn to control it
It is true this thing is heavy and it is a burden and it is a lot of fun because it tries to control you but if you're able to control it then it is very effective, extremely. Clears Stone from grass back into the driveway with ease. Make yourself a harness. And it's powerful so that's good, again don't let it control you you control it

Better than string
The roto cut is easier to use than any string trimmer. Operation is very quiet with less debris being thrown. Does the job of an edger too.

Great. Adapted for Greenworks PRO.
Great product. Works better than expected. I see why people say it's heavy and a lot of work to use, but it's manageable and worth it. So much faster and more effective than raking. Not only gets the rocks from gravel driveway but all small debris from trees and sticks that is hard to rake. I actually use it with an 80V greenworks pro attachment capable trimmer. I didn't want to switch because I have about 6 or 7 tools that use the same 80v batteries. First I removed the nylon bushing in the steel tubing. Than the small round bar drive shaft going down to the gear box pulled right out. In a vise I used a grinder and file to change the slightly larger spline tip to a square (keystock looking) tip. I had to cut it down a bit as well with a zip disc. Luckily everything was larger and I just slowly took off material to fit the male tip into the female adapter on the greenworks. Took less than an hour to do the work and put everything together. Now I would probably work with other brands as well.

Good reach, but can be heavy for longer jobs
Great quality as expected from Ego. Tool is a bit heavy, long jobs can be tiring. Would buy again
