Nice sleek-looking smart lock with many options that works well
The media could not be loaded. I waited for about 3 months of use before posting. Occasionally I will get a "failure" to read my fingerprint which takes only a couple seconds to try again and open. The fingerprint reader on my phone fails more often. I also tried to lengthen the duration before it locks but it still seems to do it within a matter of seconds after unlocking. But all in all, it works very reliably and looks sleek and high quality. The remainder of this was written immediately following installation.Installation was very easy. I chose to keep my existing strike plate on the door frame because the screw holes on the provided strike plate were spaced a little further apart than the existing holes. The rubber bumper on the front (keypad) side of the lock looks off-center to me despite several attempts to re-position and re-screw the unit. It also does not lie flush against my door on the back (battery) side. However, I can't say for sure whether these are issues with the lock or if my door is not perfect to begin with. There is one aspect of the setup process which I found irritating. For adding key fobs, passcodes, fingerprints I would get an "operation failed" message every time if I didn't first touch the keypad a couple times to "wake it up". I have installed a number of other smart home devices and found this to be unusually cumbersome and not intuitive to the user compared to other setups. However, this inconvenience is only relevant to initial setup, which is fairly quick to work through if you know these extra touches are necessary. It also was not intuitive which skill to enable in the Alexa app for voice control. The skill name is not stated in the instructions in the box, nor the instructions in the app. Following the QR code for FAQs from the instructions I found a video instruction that shows the skill is called ScienerSmart.I was surprised by how large/bulky the key fobs are. I expected them to be roughly the size of one of those little store loyalty cards that you can put on your keychain, with a little more thickness to it. See picture for size. It is quite large compared to anything else on my keychain. Also, in the app my gateway connection with my lock shows "weak". My gateway is in a room which is right next to the door. So if you plan to have your gateway located a considerable distance away from your door, the connection strength may not be adequate.I have used the physical key, key fobs, pin code, and fingerprint for entry. All are acceptable, but fingerprint is my preference (prefer not to dig out my keys for the key fob or physical key, and pin code takes a little more time to type in).

It's a great lock and really frees up your hands if you're carrying things.
This was a little bit of a pain to install, but they have a good installation video to guide you through it. Once it's set up and you install the app to control the lock, you have to go to guest settings to find the place to register fingerprints. For some reason, they still have a video of an old version of their app to demonstrate how to register the fingerprints and I was very frustrated by that, but eventually figured it out by checking everything out. You can also set up permanent and temporary codes to unlock the door in case fingerprints aren't working and it also comes with a manual key in case the batteries ever die and also has a port to plug in a portable phone charger if you happen to carry one around like I do. Side note on that, though, it takes an old micro charger cable, I think it's called. I would think most people probably have one of those lying around, but they are cheap and you could one to keep near the front door like in your mailbox or something where it would stay dry and safe. One thing I have noticed after using it for the past few days is that sometimes the fingerprint sensor is a little picky if you don't get your thumb on it just right and it'll talk at you, but you can tap the key pad with the back of your hand to get it to stop talking and let you scan again.

First one broke, but I still consider this 4 stars.
I went through several thumb-reader locks after I build my she shed. I didn't want to have to deal with a key for a building in my back yard, but I wanted to keep it secure. I think I went through two or three different locks before I found this one. It is very easy to install and add thumbs, fobs, and codes.I believe I bought the first one about a year ago. It had issues reading thumbs when it rained or if the person's hands were wet. Also, on random occasions it didn't work. I figured that out, but the other two people who use the building didn't. That lead to some frustration. Someone couldn't get in after several attempts and pulled on the handle hard. The sensor never worked again. So, I purchased the same lock again. I feel like they've made some improvement. Although, I think they raised the price, it seems like the thumb reader is better. I have not had any issues getting in with this new lock. The person who broke the first lock will be the true test. My mother also has issues getting in, but I think she slides her thumb a little when she tries to use it. It's really not a difficult process. I don't know why these people have such a hard time. In any case, the lock comes with two fobs, keys and a way to add codes. I can also unlock it remotely.I recommend this lock 100%. I think the price is kind of high though.

Outstanding product!
Easy to install, quality materials, easy in-app setup. I was extremely pleased when I unboxed this lock and saw how well-made it was. I was skeptical of the brand when I ordered since I had not yet heard of it, but I am so glad I gave this a shot. The fingerprint unlock feature works very well, no delay in it recognizing a valid print and actuating the lock. And to top it off, the lock looks great too. Definitely worth the money and I highly recommend.
