Life As a Daymaker: How to Change the World by Simply Making Someone's Day

I first found this book years ago in a small gift shop while vacationing on Maui. It is a very short but incredibly meaningful read. In short, this book is about living a life of and extending grace. If you or anyone you know tends to judge or act before thinking about what someone else may be going through or what kind of day they may be having, PLEASE read this book. The world would be so much better with more “Daymakers” in it. Being more “other” focused will absolutely cause more personal happiness and peace. Since reading this book, I have purchased over 20 copies to give away to friends and coworkers.

Loved this book, it made me smile on just about every page. Full of easy-to-implement ideas for making others’ days, which en make yours. (p.s. to David or the publisher: as a proofreader, I would be happy to point out the many typos free of charge. They are a bit distracting.)

I love the concept of being a 'Daymaker' and I love many of the ideas in the book. I just wish that someone had bothered to proof-read the Kindle version. SO MANY mistakes and misquotes..... kind of negates one of the principles of the book of "always doing your best". For instance, a quote by Martin Luther King (I suppose they meant Junior) reads "Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You only need a heart full of grade.".I wasn't sure how to have a heart full of 'grade' so looked up the quote online and found one needs to have a heart full of 'Grace'.Still, I will do my best to employ the ideas in this book as I do think they can make the world a better place!

This is an inspiring book. I had the fortune to see David Wagner speak in person and it moved me so much...fast forward a few years and I now have a staff of my own and I bought this book for everyone on the staff. I also had us watch his YouTube video of him giving the talk that I'd had the good luck to see myself and we discussed this as a team. The impact was tremendous and we are now a staff of Day Makers!

I love this book. It is such a fun read and super inspiring. I am also extremely pleased with the seller. The book was shipped and received quickly from across the U.S. They even wrote me a cute note, thanking me for my purchase.

This book was recommended to me by a friend who works for Aveda salons. David's example is wonderful. He is a loving soul and hopes to share his love with the world. I loved reading about his life events and suggestions on living a more compassionate life but I did feel like I was at a work related seminar reading material we were going to be lectured over.

One of the best books when you are feeling like the world sucks.....it will help you to remember that we are all human & a little kindness goes a long way;)

Truly an inspirational read. Entertaining, interesting and a great message.
