Catholicism For Dummies

This book is a great resource for those preparing to join the church! It helped me understand a lot of important concepts before joining the church.

This is a much easier way to cover the most important tenants of the Faith. Better way to tuneup on things as opposed to wading through the Catechism. (If you want the latest catechism, checkout "Credo".) Easy to read and Chapters short enough you can get through one in about 15 minutes orless. Highly recommended.

We are giving the book to our son who has recently decided to come home to his Catholic faith.The book is good, but intimidating, because it is very thick.

Easy read

The print and graphics, along with author’s humor and clarity, made subject matter interesting and understandable. Covers all the basics. Gave it to some friends who are becoming Catholic. They REALLY like it.I liked this book, except for the title. Kinda hate the “…For Dummies” title on all the books in this series. It was cute when the very first one came out decades ago, but the humor now seems old and out-of-date. The word dummy just seems sort of insulting now. If you ignore the title, the book itself is fine.

Easy to read, entertaining, and accurate ( has the bishop’s stamp of approval)—great way to learn more about my faith. I downloaded a copy for the kindle on my phone so I am always prepared to give an explanation for what I believe. Great for RCIA or for anyone ( Catholic or non-Catholic) trying to understand what Catholics believe.

This is great for surface knowledge on a variety of beliefs. Good for starting RCIA.

It skips from page 16 to 49. I didn’t notice until I was outside the return window.

To present the Catholic Faith in a way that is both complete, loyal and eminently readable is important. Catholicism for Dummies, despite the title (which is used to attract attention), does present it in this way.
