Ortolans (Claire Lorrimer's Historical Sagas)

I read this many years ago, a few times and my copy fell apart. So, so, pleased to have it back again.

A really good story about a house and its residents throughout it's history. At times I couldn't stop reading, then it would come to a conclusion, and when you think that's it, the story of the family carries on. Can't wait to read my next book by this author.

If you like historical romance then you will love this saga. it travels through generations who live at ortolans. All historical facts are genuine apart from when they interact with characters from the book. There is romance and intrigue and murder and deception and love. Fab story.

'Ortolans' is, of course, Breton for 'cobblers', to coin a 70's turn of phrase.
