Awesome Stepping Stone Molds
I have made over 100 "stones" with these. These have held up perfectly. I used whatever expired vegetable oil that I had sitting around in the cupboard to grease the mold before mixing and scooping in regular fast set concrete. I used a massage gun on each mold to minimizes bubbles as well as manually bouncing them around. Some of these forms have taken a beating and still look great. No cracks or damage.Other tips: I used a mask while mixing concrete and disposable gloves for all of this work. I used both the Menards brand and the Quikrete quick set concrete. I had way better luck with the Menards brand (quick set for posts). Also, if you get a bunch of bubbles in your "stone", let it sit for a couple days then mix a small amount of concrete in a solo cup and skim coat the stone with your fingers - pressing the concrete into the bubbles. Use a disposable glove for this. Let molds sit for 24 hours before gently turning them over onto a soft surface (cardbaord, old towel, rug). Do not let them drop out of the molds or they may crack. After 48 hours you do not need to be quite as careful. You have to move fast.If you use a massage gun, consider it sacrificial. Mine is now covered in concrete and no longer useable as a massage gun. Still works though! If you can make your stones in the winter for spring install, that's ideal. I did not do that and it's been hot, humid, bugs biting me, I haven't allowed from proper curing, etc. All would have been solved if I had done this in the winter.Consider wearing goggles or sunglasses. I got concrete in my eye once when bouncing the mold around.Good luck, this actually was a really enjoyable project. I cant stop walking down my new path!

Great forms that seem pretty durable
Nice forms that work well! I have made 12 batches of flagstone using 60 lb bagged concrete mix with coolant added. They work well and release well with only a light coating of cheap cooking spray. Seems durable enough even with vigorous tapping on the bottom to remove air bubbles. My only wish would be that the texture in the form was a little more pronounced. Other than that, I am very happy with these!

Love them
These are great if you make sure you oil the mold before putting your product in it makes de molding a heck of a lot easier. Have used them multiple times good product. Would buy again.

Easy to use and nice variety of sizes
These are perfect for making homemade concrete flagstones - I have to get better at mixing concrete LOL, but these forms are awesome. Strurdy, reusable, easy to pop out the finished stones, and don't take too long to dry either. I made a bunch for a stepping stone walkway and I'll be making more for between my garden plantings next!

excellent product, beautiful results
i absolutely love these molds and am so happy that i chose these over the grid style cobblestone molds.i have done 3 sets so far, and once you get a handful of them done you can start to create free form pathways anyway you want. i just installed a brick patio and am making my first path from the backdoor to the fire pit (shown in photo).the molds are excellent quality and are still in perfect condition after 3 pours. one 60lb bag of concrete is enough to fill all 6 molds.TIPS- do not make your concrete too wet or the integrity of the stone wont be as stong, and will potentially crack when stepped on-once the cement is poured, shake, shimmy, gently lift and "drop" (small taps) repeatedly to get air bubbles out. do this for way longer than you think you need to.-place a flattened cardboard box over the mold while you tap it on the ground to avoid huge amounts of splatter.- i use standard concrete and let it dry in the mold for a minimum of 24 hours, then carefully de-mold and avoid walking on new stones for at least 2-3 days- concrete will build up on the edges of the mold and ruin the look of the sides of your stones if you do not clean between uses. i find that cleaning the molds immediately after removing dried stones is easiest. i use my hose and a stiff plastic bristle scrub brush.-demolding earlier than 24 hrs can cause chips as you remove the stone-take your time demolding, being aggressive can cause cracks or chips-no mold release neededI AM THRILLED WITH THIS PURCHASE, NO REGRETS!!

Good
Work well, followed the suggestions and wiped them down with cooking oil. No problem having them released. We got color to add and am happy with how they turned out. tip…. Do not store under the bbq.. and then turn it on.

Vertical walls bend in trapping the concrete in the mold
Almost every stone mold has walls that are convergent so once the cement is set, it’s stuck in there forever. 2 of the molds work well where the hardened concrete will slide out. I’m pretty frustrated because I wanted the set of 6 for variety, not using only 2 and repeating them. I will try to update once I do some trouble shooting to see if I can fix the vertical wall orientation but I have low expectations.

Favorite purchase of the year
Absolutely my favorite purchase this year! Easy to use. Sizes and quality of the molds are great! I spray a little Pam to see if it would come out easier and it certainly did! Very durable to use and reuse and they look so cute in my garden.

Gutes Produkt
