Bought it bc of Tiktok
I usually trust Booktok when it comes to storylines and reviewing books, but when I bought it was first of all too big for a booksize, which made it look like a math book, and I had to force myself to read it ( even though I give many chances to books and always trust the process) , but at the end of the day I just stopped reading it all together, don't know what I should do with the book now, really disappointed...

Beautiful and Real
Granata’s writing is comfort reading for me. She has such a beautiful way of weaving love, steam, emotion, and grit into her stories that you walk away feeling everything and wanting for nothing.Collision is Granta’s debut novel and really gives you a feel for how natural she is as a story teller. I was so moved by this story. By the healing, the vulnerability, the character development, I just felt everything in such a meaningful way.If you haven’t read any of Granata ‘s books yet, I strongly suggest that you start at the beginning! What a powerful story.

A beautifully written & engaging debut!
Collision is the debut YA novel from Kristen Granata. I was not fully prepared for the emotional ride that this story took me on. It’s a beautifully written, engaging story with relatable characters.I absolutely loved the character of Merritt Adams. In her early 20s, she’s been through a lot. She’s not this happy-go-lucky bubbly female character. She has this darkness that she’s trying to overcome from her past. Chase Brooks is the exact opposite. He’s the typical hometown golden-boy with the perfect life; but he’s not. There is so much more below the surface of both characters and it was amazing to watch them grow through what they go through as the story went on.The story line dealt with some tough topics like abandonment, terminal illness, suicide, and depression. The story ended on a cliffhanger but lucky for you, book two “Avoidance” is available so you don't have to wait to find out what happens next.I was initially given an e-book copy of Collision to read and review honestly; I loved it so much, I purchased a copy of Collision in paperback. I give Collision 5 stars and I recommend checking out this beautifully written and well edited YA debut from Kristen Granata.

Writing issue
Although, I did like the story, the beginning, writing seemed very amature. Towards the middle/end of the book, the writing got better. It was maybe because, of the little to no description of people, places or feelings. There was just alot of dialogue. If you get past that it is a good entertaining story. I recommend The Other Brother. That's my favorite of the Collision series.

What’s not to love?
Whew. We all need a little Chase Brooks in our life. The perfect balance of sensitive and manly.Merritt is a girl after my own heart - Marvel movies, Journey and enough sarcasm to woo Chase Brooks.Collision is a perfectly executed, unconventional romance that will leave you both satisfied and craving more.
