Tech Armor Apple MFi Certified Lightning Cable to USB A - 2FT White - Tough-Braided Extra-Strong Jacket - Sync/Charge iPhone & iPad

Although I generally love Apple products, their iPhone cables are not well-suited to the inside of my car. My car has a USB connector inside the center console. I usually snake the cable from there to the cupholders or the passenger seat, leaving the console hinge to rest on the cable. Don't hate; I know this puts pressure on the cable, but I want to have my iPhone where I can see it and respond to texts or play podcasts, etc. The iPod/iPhone interface in my car is still a bit fiddly, so this is a real need, not some perverse preference.Anyways, I've been through an Apple cable, a Griffon cable, and finally came to this one. It is the best of the bunch. It t is well-protected, so it stands up to the physical pressure of the console hinge, hot/cold temperatures (I leave it plugged in while not in the car), and being arranged in different positions. I have used it this way for six months, too, and no problems yet. I love this cable! BTW, this is the 2' version.

This is probably my 20th or so iPhone cable. I have tried everything from off name cheap cables from China, OEM apple, Amazon basics, and now this cable. FINALLY a cable that holds up to the realistic everyday torture. Out of all of the cables, Amazon Basics was probably the worst. I have about 5 of those cables and all 5 frayed at the connection within two months. The braiding on the tech armor cables definitely holds up to the torture test. I actually caught my dog chewing on the cable and surprisingly there was no damage at all. I ordered a total of three of these cables in both sizes and colors and am happy with each one.

Me llego nuevo, la entrega en la fecha estimada, y puntual, totalmente sellado de fabrica,.Pues el cable se nota bastante resistente, carga muy bien, pareciera que es el original, eso si, el cableado es totalmete diferente a el de el cargador IPHONE original, pero la verdad estoy muy contento con el, pedi el blanco y viene muy corto, pero ya revisando la publicación me parece que el obscuro es más largo, ese detalle fue culpa mia que no me fije al darle comprar, viene mas corto que el cargador IPHONE original, yo sugieron mucho ojo si le dan comprar , pero como lo dije fue culpa mia, todolo demás me dejo muy satisfecho el producto, NO DUDARIA EN PEDIR OTRO, saludos desde México D.F. n_n

I highly recommend avoiding this cable and instead purchasing Lightning cables by Anker, which have superior build quality and faster charge speeds according to testing and tear down done by electrical engineers at The Wirecutter [...], and are cheaper than this cable as well. Less than a year later, the cable shows very minor superficial fraying near the USB connector (see attached photo) and has started having intermittent connection issues when the USB end of the cable is bent slightly in a certain direction. The problem has gotten progressively worse since it started. After reading several other Amazon reviews, it seems this is a fairly common problem with this manufacturer. Other reviewers report much more serious issues with this cable, including cables catching fire, and connectors breaking off, often leaving portions of the Lightning connector stuck inside iPads and iPhones!Also, the lifetime warranty sounds great until you read the fine print and learn that replacement cables are not covered with a warranty, nor does it cover shipping which can be more expensive than the cable itself.So I am considering this a loss and will never purchase another product from this company. I’ll be recommending to friends and family that they stay away from these products as well.

Appears to be constructed better than most items like this by other suppliers.
