Mass Effect: Andromeda: Pathfinder Edition Guide

Great guide and goodies for the hardcore Mass Effect fan
When it comes to behemoth RPGs, I tend to be more of a completionist. Often, these playthroughs will be 100+ hours in length, and the last thing I want to experience is missing out on something that I can't go back to or making a truly awful choice and realizing that I'd have to go back dozens of hours in the game to correct it. This guide is comprehensive, slick, and informative. The included goodies are nice touches, but not essential except to the most hardcore of fans. The white guide cover, is beautiful, though, and the backpack, while not heavy-duty, is good for short trips or gaming conventions.

Now I have the gear for the journey-
Been wanting this, it's arrival has not disappointed. That crisp, new feeling was all there. I'm most happy with my purchase!

Excellent guide, okay extras, "meh" bag.
The guide is wonderful, like everybody has said, no need to cover that, though I'm sure I spotted a typo somewhere in there among the few pages I have viewed. And it also gets dirty easily. I was dusting my desk area and touched the book and it got a dusty fingerprint on it. It's easy enough to wipe with something slightly damp though. I'm not going to complain about the field journal or the letter from Jien Garson because those are just extras, though I think they're alright and are of okay quality, unlike other people saying they're not made of good paper. The field guide actually uses a fairly thick paper for its inside pages, though its cover could be a little thicker; right now it's just made of a slightly stiffer and thicker paper than the inside pages. It's a tiny booklet though, how much can you expect from that? The backpack though! I'd have to agree with another reviewer who said it feels flimsy and like it won't last a year of regular use with something inside it. I use it for school, and though I expect it to eventually tear on me, I'll take the chance since I plan for it to only hold one 2" binder with a thin paperback textbook, and because I'm careful with my belongings. Don't get me wrong though, I still expect it to tear on me no matter how careful I am with my belongings because that's what its quality feels like. Just saying it might last a bit longer if you're more careful with it.Edit: Forgot all about the map. I agree with another reviewer that they should've printed this on glossy paper because the picture is washed out and blurry. Personally, I don't really need the map to be an actual map with the names of the different systems and stuff, but I do agree that would've been nice too; otherwise, this "map" isn't really a map.Edit: Not even a month and the bag had a tear. And like I've said above, I only had a 1.5" binder (not even a 2" like I erroneously mentioned) and a small 382-page paperback textbook, so nothing too heavy. It's been months since I've used it so it's in storage now, but if I remember correctly, it was on one of the straps where it meets the bag. This is only still at three stars instead of two now just for the Prima guide, which is pretty excellent.

Meh. But silky smooth bag...
I was very excited for this purchase but was disappointed with the quality of the cheesy items. The notebook has typeface font lore that players of the original trilogy can relate with but new players may be leaving with more questions. The backpack feels so silky smooth, I wish my mattress was made out of the white material .But i'm upset for the first time with a prima special purchase because they folded the beautiful galaxy map, the map... made oUT of PAPER. :/ so it is taped to my wall with a gigantic crease in the middle. It should have been laminated and rolled into a tube. The welcome letter into the initiative had a circular VELCRO seal? I didn't realise that the same technology used in the great oscsr mishap of 2017 was stI'll used on envelopes for the 22nd century. And finally the grandest disappointment, the guide itself. Does not have an easy to find TOC, and the whole thing feels censored for spoilers. But... the whole point of a strategy guide..... is to find the spoilers if you want to. Th e quality of the character images is subpar, and unless you care about the hundreds of bestiary and gun pages this guide is devoid of much help at all. The most useful part is the filled in maps with each POI icon in its place. But that isn't hard to find on a wiki per say.All in all: backpack is small, but strokable. Galaxy map comes creased beyond repair. "Notebook" is a tiny lore pamphlet with some blank lined paper at the end for... stuff I guess. The welcome letter has a code on the back for multiplayer exp boosters.I do like the backpack... I'm just not sure I would buy it for 100 even in the Bioware store...Next time I'll save my money for bioware merch on their official site, much better geared towards fans and quality collectors items.

its not that bad actually....
this was bought for my son and I was a bit put off reading the reviews but he wanted it ( and paid for it!) so its his choice.a lot of the complaints have been around the bag, yes the bag is covered in a PVC type material, but it is made of normal backpack material also, so its pretty sturdy.I wouldn't carry my entire life in it, but to carry the usual stuff men need in a bag its fine.the guide it came with is huge, so much bigger than any guide I've seen so far, (even my witcher GOTY collectors one). theres also a notebook and s a couple of other bits a piecesfor the price I think its a little steep, yes its collectable and the makers seem to increase the cost for anything collectable, but theres been worse stuff out there for a lot more.true fans will love it

Pathfinder futuristic backpack!
Three words : I LOVE THIS!I know many people have been complaining about the backpack being a plastic material and feeling "cheap". I don't know about it being cheap because I think it looks futuristic and classy. I love the Mass Effect Trilogy and Dragon Age video games (though I think Bioware messed up Mass Effect : Andromeda a bit, because my face is tired 🤣). I love the Collector's Edition guide, it's really covers a lot of the missions while trying to avoid spoilers, and the paper and print is excellent. You might think "pffttt, who buys guide books in this day and age!". Well, some fans like me 😐.That's all I have to say about this!

Excellent book with a good bag
The package is good value on Amazon, The backpack has well stitched rubberised decals, the bag has one good padded compartment for digital tablets, or thin laptops and a smaller flimsy compartment. The back, sides and bottom of the bag are made of durable grey fabric, The white bits of the bag, seem to be made of a rubberised vinyl material, feels flimsy but durable and easy to wipe clean, it will suit light packing. I would not recommend over packing it for daily use. The stragety guide is excellent.

Eigentlich toll, ABER.
