ProjectLibre Practice Project: The Step-by-Step Sequence for Success

Like many open-source projects, official documentation is usually hard to come by, non-existent, or disorganized. Creating quality documentation is VERY time-consuming. Most of these developers and coders are barely able to keep up with managing and updating the code (I'm speculating). Documentation is many times one of those things that are on the list but don't get done.I tried finding help on the web for Project Libre. It's disorganized, usually searching through forums, or wikis that had a cursory effort put into them. Even the help link from within the Project Libre program itself gives you a 404 message. "What?!" I thought, "is this program even being actively developed?"That's where books like this come in handy. This book will walk you through the development of a VERY basic project. about 28 tasks or so, with about 5 people resources.Most projects will quickly get much more complex. For example, the book tells you how to look at a histogram to see where resources might be over utilized (>100%), however, it doesn't give any insight on how to resource-level them.This is a very quick read, you can go through the whole book, working the same project on your computer, in about an hour.Overall, a great intro for a brand newbie to project libre. Anything deeper than toes in the water, and you'll need to keep searching.

A little dated at the time of my reading, but well done. Updates to the doc would be appreciated. Waiting for the cloud version of the product

I received the book on time and it was in good condition. Eventhough the book is quite simple, but it contains enough information for me to start my work with ProjectLibre. I could easily follow the steps shown in the book as it provides enough information with illustrations that make creating project from scratch easy.
