A Story Unlike Any Other
Kingdom Come is a story unlike any you're likely to read. Sci-fi meets LA noir meets murder mystery, and throughout the whole story, you're immersed in the whole world that's created, no matter how crazy it may seem. Good read!

KINGDOM COME
REVIEWKINGDOM COME is quite different form other tales. The minute I saw the cover I was intrigued. Lovely cover that takes you immediately into turning the pages. You have a combination of murder and sci fi. No matter what you may think of the world that has been created you are there. The author wrote of different Realms that were from different historical periods. That intrigued me. Jasper who was the private detective soon finds himself with more cases than he knows what to do with. All have to do with the uprising against the Kingdom. This author is starting out at a great pace with writing beyond his years. If he keeps writing like this, he will be one of the great authors that we want more from.I was given a complimentary copy of KINGDOM COME from the author, Mark Collington and Ravenswood Virtual Tours for my view of the book.

A unique blend of noir, thriller, and sci-fi, worth investigating
This novel has a unique premise and was quite entertaining to read. The overall feel is film noir, detective story, but there's a lot more going on with definite elements of thriller and sci-fi mixed into the story. The main character is shrewd, and while he seems like the typical rule-bending, hard-drinking P.I, there's definitely more to him than meets the eye; it's clear that much more will be revealed in subsequent books. I liked the way that a character that starts out as a damsel-in-distress becomes an active and significant character, instead of just being a woman in the refrigerator. If you like detective novels, sci-fi, thrillers, and books that are hard to put into only one category because they refuse to adhere to only one genre, definitely check this one out.

Arthur Canon Doyle meets Robert A. Heinlein, more Doyle
This is a great book. Mark is a young author and if he writes this great at this time in his career I can't but expect even greater books in the future. The book is written like Mickey Spalane novel, 1930 detective novel but a SciFi twist.

A very good read, with a well-balanced blend of sci-fi and crime fiction. There was plenty of suspense and the characters always kept me intrigued. Would highly recommend it.

Sequel, please!
A great read, with lots happening, lots of threads, and an impressive cast of characters. I like both detective novels and science fiction, so this cross-over appealed to me (as did earlier examples of SF mysteries, such as Asimov’s classic “The Caves of Steel”). Jasper is an engaging hero, although not without his faults – in fact, it’s a strength of the book that many of the characters and situations are not morally black-and-white. Despite the murder and mayhem, there’s a strong vein of dry humour (think Harlan Coben), and I enjoyed the sly references to Raymond Chandler’s “The Big Sleep”. All in all, an excellent first novel, with a world setting that opens infinite possibilities. I look forward to reading the next one – and hope some of my favourite characters will be in it!

Innovative, fast paced and gripping!
A deeply enjoyable read - 'Kingdom Come' is an inventive science fiction story with a genuinely ingenious setting. The breakneck paced film-noir styled thriller grabs you from the word go and doesn't let up for a moment. Highly recommend!
