TerraLUX TT-5 Dual Button Tail Switch Tactical Flashlight

I received the TT-5 two days ago. I totally ignored the two noninformative negative reviews when considering purchasing this really nice flashlight. I chose this flashlight for several reasons: the many positive reviews, its quad-mode switch (I didn't want a single mode; dual modes are either very bright or very low lumens and I wanted a flashlight with the middle range lumens the TT-5 has, i.e., 150 lumens), its battery life, its nice size and quality construction, the holster is excellent, it has a nice wide beam, and its reasonable price. I live on a farm and will use this flashlight outside frequently, hence I like the wide beam and 650 high lumens (I wanted more lumens than the common 350 lumens) and also having the 150 lumens option was critical for me. In summary, I am so far very impressed with the TerraLUX TT-5 tactical flashlight and feel I made an excellent choice in this purchase. I would highly recommend it.

I just used this light at a night shoot and the instructors were laughing about how my light alone was bright enough to light up the whole darn firing lane of 12. People loved how bright and the awesome pattern it put out. After the firing was done, I was asked by the range master if I use this to land helicopters lol.All joking aside, it's a great light and very sturdy. If you are in law enforcement and want a VERY bright light without spending ton of money, this is it...The pouch that it comes with is so so... it tore on mine, so I had to take it to a tailor to stitch it up better. it won't put on a molle, but it will on a 2" duty belt.Great light, highly recommended.it does inhale batteries quick. I bought some rechargeable tenergy batteries to help feed this thing. It also gets VERY hot if on for a while.

As an ourdoorsman, I am often in need of a flashlight that fits well in a pack or pocket, that is weatherPROOF and throws light that makes it easy for me to see. This flashlight fits the bill, and at a fraction of the price of many other higher proced wll known brands. In fair disclosure, I have not owned those higher end models, but see no need to consider them when this type of light meets the needs I have.On it's highest setting it is very bright; I recently used it while helping another hunter recover a deer after dark, this flashlight threw a clean even beam that easily illuminated our field of view in a heavily wooded area. I have not gone through a set of batteries as of yet so I cannot speak to their length of use.I would highly recommend this flashlight.

I was recommended this flashlight by my firearms instructor at work; I am glad he did. It is easy to use, extremely bright and fits in my hand just right. I like to shoot my pistol with the cigar style grip and the tactical ring makes it pretty easy to manipulate the button on the tail cap. The only thing that might make it more sensitive to using that grip would be if the two tabs on the tail cap were filed down or not there. For anyone who has a surefire speed holster, this will not fit in that holster. That was not a big deal to me because I just used a universal magazine speed holster for the light to be mounted lens down and it is the perfect combination for security and quick access.

It took me 2 months to finally buy this flashlight, and I am glad I did. I was debating between this and a surefire. Lost my first one at the lake. Replaced it with this one (same model) which was at a much better price here on Amazon. Insanely bright and superior in construction. I've use Surefire for over a decade and this one is just as good if not better. Just not at the Surefire prices! I carry these with me and use them as weapons lights. They work great and at a fraction of the costs. If their quality doesn't fall off in the years to come I'll continue to buy them for future projects and as extras in the glove box.

The light is good, nice throw etc. The housing just needs improving. I wear a large size glove, for reference, and the thing is too slippery and really feels like its going to slip out of my hands most of the time. I have great hand strength, its just lacking traction (guess I can ugly it up with friction tape though). The tailcap button is kind of stiff and hard to press, if you orient it to have access to the on/off and the mode switch. If you orient it so you only have access to push the on/off only, its not bad and seems decent.

This is the best brightest compact light I have ever used.We went hiking in Arches National Park. One of the big draws is the hike to Delicate Arch for sunset.The hike is short of 2miles each way and view is great once you get there.The only light we had to get back was the Terra Lux. It was so bright it lit a path for 15 of us the entire way down.This thing really packs the power and is very light to carry in a pocket.
