Love This Book
This is an amazing novel. I read it in two day and loved every single page, every single line, and every single word. The plot was so intense that I couldn’t find a point where I could just put the book down and walk away. I was absolutely captivated. The Last MacKlenna by Katherine Lowry Logan had me spellbound from page one, just like her first book, The Ruby Brooch. Again the characters leap off the pages with lives richly painted with deep love and understanding for their frailties and health issues. This boo is perfection. The Last Macklenna isn't exactly a sequel to The Ruby Brooch, but it does continue with the family saga in a tangent sort of way that I found refreshing. Meredith runs a winery in Napa Valley and is fighting cancer, but this is not the motivation that propels her to Scotland where she meets Elliott a robust lady's man. They are so into each other. Mysteries in horse breeding, family history and the sweetest romance ever written will enthral all readers of this genre.I cannot express enough how much I love this book and am now a fervent fan of the author. Very highly recommended.

Dull, disappointing storyline
I found this story quite dull and boring. In my opinion it seemed to concentrate on an injured leg, breast cancer and numerous doctor and hospital visits. After knowing each other for only three days, Meredith and Elliot embark on an affair and cannot seem to live without each other. On her part it is shall I or shall I not tell him I have had a mastectomy and cancer has returned. On his part, who killed my multi million dollar horse? Both characters are filthy rich. He acts like a child over his severely injured leg, refusing to listen to doctors orders and returning several times to hospital, whilst at the same time able to make mad passionate love. Extremely disappointed I wasted my money.

The last MacKlenna by Katherine Lowry Logan
This is a fabulous read. The Author has a intelligent sensitive style of writing. The main characters are strong individual,, and the love story between them is beautiful in spite of it not always running smoothly. There is romance, history, Ghosts, danger, and a weaving plot throughout . What more could you ask for in a book that will hold your interest throughout.
