It's a great sounding bowl. A bargain for what it cost. The pillow is just cheap junk. And it's thin and too big. Visually, the shine is nice. Mixed in with my brass bowls, and a painted one, it looks great.

The bowl itself is beautiful and sounds fantastic. However, like others have pointed out the ring is cheap and comes apart quickly. Plus the bowl sounds awful on it. Holding the bowl sounded better.

I was very surprised at the amount of vibration and sound this small bowl makes!Small ( small small s not a bad thing- this is easily ported around with me wherever I want to take it ), well crafted, and creates beautiful sound and vibration- a surprising amount for its small size. This fits perfectly in the palm of my hand !

They harmonize well with my crystal bowls and other Himalayans.As a percussionist and certified sound and Vibrational practitioner i very exact and know what sounds i need to create. This bowl is made well and is large. Sound quality is great, the stand is a simple ring wrapped in beautiful cobalt blue ribbon. its simple and serves its purpose. I searched for other bowls before I found this one... other 5 inch bowls I found were all priced at 59.99 and higher. This bowl was a steal!

Beautiful sound. Wonderful to set aside 20 minutes twice a day for centering prayer. Or meditation. Depends upon your religious beliefs. There are phone Apps available but nothing is like having the real think in your hands. I place this on a circular silicone pot holder but a square one works as well. Striker is good as it had a strip of suede on the end to give it a gentler sound. Bare wood is a little harsh. I will try to buy a piece of thicker suede and find a one inch thick wooded "dowel" to make a better striker. There are soft rubber strikers but they WILL NOT cause this bowl to give the pleasing sound like a suede wrapped wood striker. The wood striker also makes this bowl sing and the singing bowl will rise in volume which is nothing short of "Kool" if you do it correctly. I keep it polished but it is not necessary. Best polish also found on Amazon is Semi-Chrome, a tiny amount goes a long way. A tube is all you need to polish the bowl. Bikers all know about Semi-Chrome. I have other bowls bought on amazon larger and smaller. This is the right size for me and I keep it in a safe place. You will not be disappointed. Happy Meditating.

I do sound healing and know how to play a bowl. This product appears to be a prop, or just used for decoration. So disappointed. What a waste! Now the intended gift could not be given to the individual and will have to come after Christmas.
