Are the lids made of silicone as well?

Container Base is made of 100% Food Grade Silicone, is BPA Free and Non Toxic. The lid is made of non-toxic Polypropylene (PP) Durable, flexible, heat-resistant.

Our small container measures 4" x 5.3" and when expanded 2.6" high. Hope this helps.

Does various foods like tomato based stain the containers?

Silicone is nonporous and naturally stain resistant. However, foods with tomato sauce or turmeric can cause stains. Turmeric stains are the hardest to remove. When cooking with turmeric, we recommend using glass to store it. We have an excellent option to remove the stain if it happens. Wash with soap and water then try this: Mix a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Rub the paste all around the inside and let sit for 20 min. Rinse and repeat if necessary.

Are the lid tabs durable or do they rip off after a while?

They seem pretty durable. I have not had any issues with them breaking or snapping off.
