Great product. Hard to find in shops

Since writing my last review a month or so ago the price has gone up by around £5 a pack. That is a massive increase!! Although I like this brand I'm afraid I will be looking at ordering from another company I have found who appear to tick all the same boxes as Dr Vegan, but cheaper. I know Dr Vegan will likely say costs gone up for this or that reason but such a big hike up in price in such a short time really isn't good enough. Shame.

I've been taking omega oil supplements for years and have tried many vegetarian varieties, starting with flaxseed oil and then more recently trying sea buckwheat oil. I've tried a few varieties of algae oil too, such as this one from Dr Vegan, which is excellent. It's all pros and no cons. As well as being cruelty free (unlike fish oil omega 3 supplements), this algae oil is purer than any fish oils. It contains none of the environmental pollutants found in fish oil, making it a preferable source both ethically and in terms of health. In addition to algae oil, these capsules also contain d-alpha tocopherol (vitamin E). The only other ingredients are tapioca starch and glycerin, which make up the capsule shell. There are no fillers, binders, sweeteners, flavourings, preservatives or other such unnecessary (and often toxic) extras. Just the good stuff. Which is how it should be.As I've said in many reviews before, there are only three criteria for measuring the quality of any supplement: purity, potency and efficacy. These Dr Vegan capsules score on all three counts. The ingredients are pure (and cruelty free), they're potent, and they work, delivering a host of health benefits. Omega oils are beneficial to joints, cardiovascular performance, brain function, vision, blood-vessel pliability, blood-vessel structural integrity, muscular strength, and muscles' range of motion, to name some key benefits. There are many more. In short, if you want to enjoy optimal health, including a quality omega-oil supplement in your life is a good idea.These Dr Vegan capsules come in packaging which is plastic free and compostable - yet another selling point for this excellent product. There's nothing to criticise. Dr Vegan got it right with this supplement.

I simply love, love, love companies that produce clean, good quality supplements. Dr.Vegan is a brand I have not come across before and it was the packaging that caught my eye initially. I saw the supplements were vegan omega 3 from Algae oil, and the packaging was 100% plastic-free and compostable. This told me straight away this was going to be a company that cares about the environment and has high ethics. Perfect!So not only was this brand new to me but also that you could get Omega 3 from Algae oil. In the past, I have had fish oil (fishy burps not pleasant), krill oil and flaxseed oil. Algae oil is a new one on me so I was excited to give these a go.I think including Omega 3 in your diet is very important and can help the following:Heart health - can lower blood pressure and improve blood vessel functionDepression - lower levels of EPA and DHA have been found in sufferers of depressionEye health - can prevent the degeneration of eye sightReduce inflammation - could reduce certain inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, colitis and asthmaSo onto the product itself. The supplements are provided in soft gel capsules (tapioca starch, glycerin) that you are advised to take 2 per day with food. The packet holds 60 capsules, so is basically a month's supply. At the time of review, these were retailing at £21.99, which equates to something like 73p per day.The capsules are not too big in my opinion so are easy to swallow and there is no aftertaste whatsoever.I've not been taking these too long so haven't noticed anything to comment on so far but will almost definitely continue with these as have trust in the brand and benefits of omega 3.

Dr. Vegan is a fairly new company, which was registered in early 2020, that seems to aim for transparency, sustainability and ethicality. This being said, I think the company are clearly demonstrating this focus with these Omega 3 supplements.The capsule contents are ethically sourced, being farmed and not from the oceans, which would deprive marine life of necessary food. The algae oil looks very consistent in colour, with no particles suspended in the liquid; it looks to be clear and pure.Each daily dose (2 capsules) contains the recommended intake of Omega 3, which is ideal for someone who doesn't eat fish, and thus may struggle to get the right amounts of Omega 3 in their diet.equalI don't eat fish as I understand the damage being caused to the planet as a result of overfishing (see "Seaspiracy" on Netflix), and "sustainable" fishing likely isn't as sustainable as you think.Because I don't eat fish, the amount of Omega-3 in my diet is quite low. I've had noticeable improvements in my attention, memory and thought coherency since I started taking these supplements 7 days ago. I can highly recommend these supplements for everyone, especially those who are struggling with brain function. This is one noticeable improvement in my health, but Omega 3 also supports your body in many ways that aren't so noticeable.This is a new product from a fairly new company and will have necessary additional costs for a time while the product is established in the market. I imagine the price will decrease over time as interest increases and production scales up. Consider your options and needs when purchasing and the points mentioned here - think about supporting a new business which is trying to make a difference.

Reduces brain fog, improves recall, and prevents omega 6 related acne break outs from processed foods seed oils and nuts. I usually use the omvit brand which is fantastic. This brand is just as good. The packaging doesn't take up much space and is easy to store.
