The transformation of Jesus' message into into a public religion
What did Jesus actually teach? What was his purpose? Spiritual master Adi Da Samraj, who has an enlightened rather than institutional view of the great teacher, Jesus of Galilee, explains, in this booklet, how the original esoteric spiritual tradition of Christianity was transformed into the exoteric system of salvation myths that most people know of today as the Christian tradition. After the death of Jesus, some of his followers sought to claim for the church the ancient substitute salvation myth whereby a sacrifice is made in lieu of spiritual and devotional practice, thus making personal responsibility unnecessary. Jesus was portrayed as that sacrifice. Adi Da also shows how the three main branches of Christianity: Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox come from the interpretations of Jesus' work from Peter, James, Paul and John respectively. For readers interested in the truth of Jesus' teaching, and the subsequent development of the Christian church, this brief booklet is important and intriguing. Highly recommended.

A very lucid explanation of Christianity and a call for the re-assertion of its esoteric practices
This booklet is a collection of essays from Adi Da Samraj's Basket of Tolerance - his brilliant overview of the various esoteric and exoteric spiritual traditions of mankind. It contains extremely lucid explanations of the origins of and differences between the three major traditions of Christianity. It also critiques each of those traditions and their movement away from their esoteric roots, founded in the Teaching of St Jesus of Galilee, into "public religions". Adi Da Samraj obviously has a deep respect for Jesus and his Teaching and in one of the last essays calls for a "revolution" in Christianity and return to those esoteric roots. Adi Samaraj is a brilliant essayist and I would highly recommend this booklet to anyone who is interested in Christianity, or who practices it.
