Rustic & simple, but look great. I put a darker colored stain on mine.

They look nice but they are both a bit warped at the top & bottom, so they don't lay flat against the wall.

The wood is extremely light (balsa wood?) but, overall, these are a good value for what I paid ($27.99 + tax). BUT what drives me crazy is that they are only offered in two colors, "gray" and "brown," and in order to get the color I wanted ("gray" which is more of a grayish-brownish), I had no choice other than to select the 3.9"-wide option (is actually closer to 3.75"). I would have much preferred the 4.5"-wide version but that is only available in "brown" (conversely, you can't get the brown in the 3.9"-wide version, only 4.5"). Why would they not offer each version in BOTH widths, and it's not like this just at Amazon.com. It was the same at other web sites that carry them. Also, they're nice looking enough that they should offer them in several sizes, not just two. I would have gladly paid considerably more for something closer to 5" to 6" wide and and a few inches longer. I think most people would.

These were exactly what I was looking for- they are lightweight so you don’t need a heavy duty nail in the wall to support and just the right size, perfect for candles. The color/finish is nice too- can’t think of any cons, love the sconces!

They are exactly what I wanted; I wanted some that truly looked rustic in person. Definitely lightweight which is great because I was able to use Velcro Command Strips to hang them.
