Gripping Suspense
Review by Steve Ward, author of Test Pilot's Daughter: RevengeLouis Corona writes a modern and compelling suspense. David Fornette, who strikes out on his own from a police background, is a nice, quiet, unassuming Private Investigator. That is until his own nephew shows up dead on the dark streets of New Orleans. The synthgetic drug, 25i, is the culprit and David expects foul play. When the trail leads to the Mob, it's not long until all hell breaks loose. After the FBI bows out, David is on his own. When he risks it all, including his family, he pays a steep price.Who done it is not the issue, it's only a question of one man against a well financed and crooked empire. Will the Stone of David bring down the bad guys, or will David end up Stone Cold?Five stars!

Bringing New Orleans to life
The descriptions of this unique city are so spot on that I'm longing for a return visit. I appreciated the strong family bonds in both the Fournet and the Manasco clans. The good versus evil theme is well played out. Anyone with a connection to New Orleans will enjoy the view. I await another book in the David Fournet story.

The Stone of David
Louis Carona has written a great suspense novel, The Stone of David. The concept is real, the location (New Orleans) is ideal, and the story exciting, You won't want to put this book down. He has created a charachter ( P.I. David Fournette ) so compelling that you don't want to let go at the end. You will want to read about his next adventure. I look forward to the next book by Louis Carona. With "Hollywood of the South" located in New Orleans. The Stone of David would make a wonderful movie.
