Trim to length u want. Take off sticker on the bottom & place in middle of jar. Secure wick with the utensil they supplied..so wick will be straight up. Then pour in melted wax..

The wics did work well for me, the trick is to make sure your glass containers are completely cleaned well, no grease, water, or other residue left behind because that will keep it from sticking. Press really firmly down when applying the wick and hold for about a min or so before you decide to pour the wax.
