Teacher's Activity Kit, Complete: 90 Reproducible Activities, Plus 18 Tests (Essentials of Music Theory)

I bought this to use in a general music class, as well as to help choir students learn to read music. Outside of the resistance I've gotten from students who think that choir is just about singing, and nothing else, this whole series is quite good. I bought the educators complete version of the software to track grades for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. I purchased student copies and other ancillary materials, as well as a stand alone iMac computer, to use in class for students to test and get extra credit.In the proper atmosphere, and with supportive administration, this series is an excellent program to increase learning of music basics with a spiral approach of one concept leading to another. I was happy with the price I was able to find, since I paid for all of this out of my own pocket.

I'm a music teacher and have been searching for a good theory book to use with my students. This book is AWESOME! It is laid out nicely. Love that it's 3 books in 1. The first book covers the basics and by the 3rd book you'll be writing/composing music and have the know-how to do it! It might be a little hard for someone who'd never done music theory before...I recommend getting the ear training CDs, Teacher Answer Key and other teacher resources. This book gets 2 thumbs up from this music teacher!

Good price for a solid music theory course. We are using this complete set (book, cd, teacher activities) in our homeschool. A week into the course, my son commented that he felt like he was really learning. The course starts simple, w/ music reading basics, but continues to progress to more complicated material. I feel like this will lay a solid foundation for future music study.

I am teaching Introduction to Music Theory in a community college and this book has helped me and my students enormously! The graded activities and tests are well organized and completely user friendly. I highly recommend this book in conjunction with Alfred's Essentials of Music Theory.

This book only has "extra" review questions and tests. It is really not needed. You are fine with just the actual complete book 1-3 and corresponding book with answer key.This book is for the student who wants to test himself/herself. Only good thing is answers are at the back.

I used this to teach my kids music and it is PERFECT! I like how they laid it all out for you, I am learning along with the kids. It is easy to use, and understand! 5 stars!
