For Girls in the In-Between
EYA is the story of how Jordan and her husband endured multiple miscarriages. I'd read some of her posts about this and listened to her podcast, so I was familiar with some of her story and spoiler alert: she gave birth to her beautiful rainbow baby in January!I was hoping for a little more story and less advice in EYA, but I understand why she would want to keep some of her life private. I would too! My favorite chapter was the last one where I felt like Jordan took off the teacher's glasses and was incredibly honest about where she was in her story at the time the book was published. She didn't have her dream. She was in the in-between and I was encouraged by that. That's where I feel like I am.In the in-between.So that's who I recommend this book to. The girls in the in-between. Struggling with the almost. It was encouraging to read a book where someone felt the tension of not knowing how the future might unfold but living wholly in the now until she gets there.Isn't that the trick? Loving this life no matter what it brings? Loving this moment now? That's what I'm working on and I encourage you to read this book if you're in a season of broken dreams too.

I bought 5 copies to share I loved it so much.
This book is the first book I ever read in two days and started reading it again right away. So many great reminders and so relatable for absolutely anyone. If you need a mental reset, this book is a must. Jordan Lee Dooley is absolutely incredible.

Important read if you feel an unmet expectation in your life and need a boost of "what do I do?"
So glad I made the decision to read this book! I read the e version so I struggle a bit with that/with connecting with a text that's not physical. But Jordan still managed to write in such an honest and authentic way that it helped so much. You can tell her hurts are raw and I'm so proud of how she chose to continue getting this word out there. That she continued pressing on and sharing what she felt God placed on her heart to get out despite her heartache she is still processing and living through. I think this is so important for us to do and Jordan shows her strength and vulnerability and is a great example in doing this. I wouldn't say that this book is super deep. If you are someone who personally has been through a lot of hardships in your life, it might not hit super deep, but it's not about that. It's not about comparing hardships. Where this does hit deep regardless though I believe is exactly what Jordan says about what can we get out of whatever season we're in. Just some of the questions she discusses: What beauty does God want us to see? What are practical steps that are not overwhelming that we can easily start today to begin seeing the beauty and begin loving our lives when that seems like a really far away goal? Also, this wasn't a stated purpose of the book but something I loved. I felt like you could read and feel that she and her husband's marriage grew and there was such pruning and discernment gained in the seasons she's writing about and that was really beautiful to read. I believe this book in Jordan's season of almost will end up being such a beautiful refining and growing season that will help so many. Grateful.

A real story full of real encouragement
Currently about 80% through this book, and it’s refreshing! Jordan tells her story in a way that makes you feel like you’re sitting down to coffee with her (except it’s a phytonutrient drink, not coffee). After following her for years, I am enjoying this peek into what was going on in her heart and life during the time that I was using her products. Her honesty is both raw and tactful. While I like the personal nature of the book, I sometimes have trouble reading my own story into it. The lessons Jordan shares from her own life are valuable when it comes to processing and moving on from crushing disappointment, and do apply to the mundane boredom of other kinds of middle seasons, just a little less obviously at times. Still, if you are not quite where you thought you’d be by now, you will find yourself highlighting all sorts of encouraging reminders in these pages.Thank you, Jordan, for sharing your story!

The perspective shifts you’ll experience while reading this are LIFE GIVING!
I pre-ordered this book the second Jordan announced its existence. Her first book was already a favorite of mine. She has a way of writing that feels like you’re chatting with a wise, but super relatable, cool best friend. This book blew me out of the water. Her vulnerability, her understanding of what it feels like to be in a season of almost is so relatable and made me feel so much less alone.I love that this book wasn’t just a “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” kind of book. But it also wasn’t a “wallow in self pity” book. It towed a line of feel your feelings, but do this to feel better and make the most of the challenges you’ve been given. All of it is delivered through a Biblical perspective, which I deeply appreciated as a Christian woman. Whether you’re in a season of waiting for the right job, spouse, family, business success, or literally anything, this book will help you know you’re not alone and will give you tools to shift your mindset for the positive. Thank you for putting this out into the world, Jordan!

Life changing!
I first heard of this book during a workshop Jordan hosted for those in an “in-between season”, and immediately felt the pull to order it. I was blessed to receive an advance copy of the book, and I was blown away by the whole thing! Every page had something helpful and advice to help you walk more contently through this season. This book will change your life. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will make you realize that you are not alone in this season, it will make you rethink the things that you thought you handled well (but more than likely didn’t), did I mention it will make you cry?! (Like A-LOT). I never imagined a book being able to change my perception on how I thought I was handling an unknown season, but I have changed my outlook on everything in this season, and I encourage you all to read it too so you can see where you change things to feel more content in a season that cannot be avoided in God’s plan for you. 10/10 would recommend to a stranger going thru hard times

Not what I expected
I bought this based on the title and theme. Once it arrived I found that it's a Christian book, making it inappropriate for my colleague.
