I purchased an RV with LED strip lighting in it, but it did not have the power supply and controller with it. So I bought this as a simple solution. The power supply plugged in easy and worked. The problem is getting the cheap built remote control to respond. Didn't matter what buttons you pushed it refused to do anything. I changed batteries and still no luck. So I downloaded the DuCo Strip app and now control off of my phone. Everything works like it's suppose to except the cheap controller which is in the trash.

I used one of these to replace an IR receiver that was hard to position so the remote could be used easily. It worked perfectly so was very happy that I didn't have to walk across the room to use the remote. So I got another one to use in a different room / different strip and where the IR receiver is also located in a hidden location. The IR receiver in this installation is also hard to get to without moving to a certain part of the room with the remote. However, even though these RF units are on different floors and about 40' apart, the remotes operate both strips which is not what I want. So I can only use one RF receiver in my house and will have to keep one of the IR receivers. I wish there was a way to change the frequency or at least change a code to allow multiple units to work in a close location but there is not. So keep this limitation in mind if you have multiple strips that you want to control independently.

Not very happy with this purchase. If you want lights that plug in and work, they'll suffice. If you want an app that allows you easy scheduling and use, this is NOT the light controller you want.
