Secure tie-down solution that is easy to use
Bought a couple of these to use as tie-downs for boxes/tools/equipment in my RV. Well made, strong, and much easier and faster to use than the ratchet straps that I had been using. Would recommend for anyone needing to secure items in a truck/trailer/RV.

65lb kayak like nothing. I purchased the 3/8s rope and it works very well. Wait time is a bit but it arrived eventually

Works so easy!
I tie band equipment in the back of my van. I used to use the old straps but they were a pain to set up and tighten. This new rope works so easy, keeps things tight, and most of all, it’s so easy to release. Love it.!

Excellent Idea
After owning what seems like hundreds of ratchet straps, I was ready for something different. I bought several of these so I could throw all my old ratchet straps away. It's a really innovative and simple idea that just simply works. Much easier and faster than the old way. The only thing I would change is having to tie knots into the rope on my own. Don't get me wrong, I was a Boy Scout so it's no big deal, but I just don't feel like I should be tying knots at the end of these ropes on a finished product. So, I deducted one star for that. at the very least, I would've liked to have seen the hooks pre-attached to the tie boss. overall, I'm really happy with the way they function, and if use them to tie down boxes, equipment, and everything else in the bed of my truck. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody who's looking for a better tiedown system over the old ratchet straps.

Do not suggest for hoisting loads higher than you can reach
Don't suspend it from a height higher than you can reach. The angle of release for the bitter end when it's locked (jammed) in the cleat is almost 90 degrees to the load, so the higher the block is the less likely you'll be able to "cowboy snap" the line's end out enough to force it to release from the jam cleat. As an attic hoist, this means your lift is a one-way trip up into the attic, but the payload will never travel down again unless you climb a ladder to pop the line free from the block at about 90 degrees. While you're standing on a tall ladder. Under the payload. That you just hoisted by your own petard.Therefore, it has limited use, is unsafe for hoisting stuff up into my small attic hatch, and it's definitely not sailboat jam cleat gear I'm familiar with. However, I actually do like it, but only where I can control both ends fully.
