This mat has been used through the winter and into the spring mud season with great success. It works well on all shoes and does a good job on our dog's paws too. The depth is great for moving snow and debris away from the bottoms of your shoes and allowing it to go to the bottom of the mat channels where it can be shaken out or washed away with a hose. When you look at how the little astroturf 'flowers' move when you step on them you can see why they are so good at dislodging stuff off the bottoms of the shoes.I used to use a pair of smaller mats and finally broke down and got the larger mat. I am very glad I did because it stays in place better and is much easier to use.

LOVE! I have had a couple of smaller ones but wanted to upgrade to to BIG one. It catches a ridiculous amount of dirt and grime and is a must have if you live on a farm and have children. I cannot recommend this enough!
