interesting
Interesting and intriguing read BUT you really need to find a more careful proof-reader. Found way too many mistakes. Very disconcerting.

4 Stars
4 stars for Prime Suspect. The subject of abuse runs throughout this book. Sometimes makes you wonder who is being abused and who is the abuser. Lots of twists and turns to get to the truth.

Really Good
Enjoyable story with ( more-or-less) believable characters. I appreciate the larger message......I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I mostly saw where things were going ahead of time. Definitely worth reading!

entertaining and somewhat suspenseful
for the most part, there is a good deal of suspense in this book. However, most of it is easily predictable.

Weak and unbelievable
This book is ridiculous. With its completely implausible timelines and misunderstanding of how law enforcement works, I still read to the end in search of that “twist you won’t see coming.” Yeah, I didn’t see it coming because it never came. (How ‘bout all them false endings, though! Peter Jackson’s “Return of the King” would be proud.)It’s not a terrible idea for a story, but needs work to make it any kind of credible. I hope Cole Baxter tries again; he clearly has a creative mind. He just needs a partnership with a stronger editor, because the writing itself is weak.

Suspense and more
Laurie is an abused wife and runs. When her husband dies in a fire and it is arson, then she is labeled a murdered. There are many twists and turns and suspense and intrigue. It was all ups and downs all trying to get to the truth. Will they find the truth or will there be another death. This is a great thrilling book that hooked me and would not let me go. I lost many hours of sleep, just could not put it down.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I can relate
This book really struck a cord with me. I was abused. She got out,I got out. I really liked reading this book. I don't tell what is in the books I read. If you have ever been in an abusive relationship, this is a good book. I would recommend it. Thank you for writing this book Cole Baxter. Off on a new adventure.

I’m getting really tired reading books with editing issues!
I can’t just give the book a 4 like this story deserves without the editing issues. This story is not for anyone that has been in an abusive relationship. There are lots of triggers. Laurie is abused and then killed by her husband. Only her death didn’t stick!Telling too much more involves spoilers so I’ll just say that the story flows well and the ending actually makes sense.

Needs a good proof reader
The book itself is good, interesting story, although I guessed the outcome long before the end, but, oh dear, the mistakes are numerous. Typos, wrong names for characters, bad grammar and punctuation. Get a good proof reader and it would be a 5*.

Ok
No there wasn’t a twist for me as I’d guessed parts of it. Best I can say without spoilers! However enjoyed it enough to try another one. I don’t think the police would have acted the way they did. But that’s a British reader and I don’t know enough about policing in the USA.

Not worth wasting your time on
I found the book repetitive and the plot weak and predictable.

Great book, I couldn't put it down, it did have a good twist near the end, not read anything else like this before.👍
