Solid Mesh Wi-Fi — Strong, Reliable Connection Throughout the House
I installed this mesh Wi-Fi system to improve coverage around my home — and it’s doing exactly that. I’ve noticed no drop in connection anywhere, even in rooms far from the main router. Setup was simple, and the network feels stable and fast. The dual-band WiFi 6 and smart mesh design deliver smooth, consistent connectivity across multiple devices without lag or interruptions. If your home struggles with dead zones or weak signal, this is a worthwhile upgrade.

Great System! Very happy
Very straightforward and great looking system including the box they arrive in! App works well to see what the networks doing and what devices are connected to what node. Updates installed promptly with no issue and app walked me through best placement and naming node. WiFi strength is brilliant and even further than I anticipated! Should work well for years to come.

Very good product and really has improved my wifi dead spots.
Very happy with the Deco X50 they are working well with my Sky 900mb router, i had a few dead spots with my sky wifi and my cctv cameras they would randomly disconnect due to poor signal but that has now been solved by installing these at the front and back of the house. The app was simple to use and it's quick to setup the device.

extensive 2 year review: Great coverage, reliable, feature-packed, performance could be better
Device, Features & Interface (App): The build quality of the device is reasonable, though I wouldn’t say its particularly premium or high quality. It has three Ethernet ports, but no USB ports, which is a bit of a downside. The device is controlled through the Deco app which is excellent, making the web interface unnecessary. It offers features like LED control, eco mode, auto-reboot (which I recommend enabling), guest network, parental/Wi-Fi access controls, WPS, WPA3 security, and network optimization. Although it lacks direct band separation, it provides great alternatives, such as creating a separate network for IoT devices, or allowing you to force devices to connect to a specific node or band (2.4GHz or 5GHz). Advanced features include QoS, VPN support (client/server), IP reservation, MAC cloning, static routing, and NAT forwarding. Coverage and performance I don’t have a particularly large house despite this a standard single router provided by ISPs including the higher spec Eero Pro 6 router provided have resulted in dead spots. With this mesh system I have 5 bars on almost all devices. I conducted speed tests on my 900/900 Mbps full fibre connection using the Ookla Speedtest app. While tools like iPerf might offer more precise results, I found the Speedtest app to be the most convenient option as will most people. When my Wi-Fi 6 device was within 5-10 meters of the primary router, I achieved speeds close to the maximum advertised. However, speeds dropped significantly at greater distances (20-30 meters). Tests showed around 368/320 Mbps. The secondary unit's performance was more limited due to its dual-band design without a dedicated wireless backhaul. Even within 5 meters of the second unit, I only achieved around 390/420 Mbps, further away it dropped to 272/193 Mbps. Wi-Fi 5 devices experienced even lower speeds, with test showing speeds of 235/126 Mbps. When I had a Virgin M250 (264/25 Mbps) connection, I was able to achieve near-full performance at greater distances, even on the secondary node one result was 226/25. Reliability: Initially, I experienced quite a few dropouts when I first had the units. However, after updates, the reliability has significantly improved so I haven't had a dropout related to the unit in a long time. While I can’t test its 75-150 device capacity, it handles 9 smart devices (plugs, TVs, washing machines, Alexas) and 15 other devices effortlessly. Compatibility: This unit appears to work with all ISPs, supporting various connection types like DHCP, static IP, PPPoE, L2TP, and more. In my case, I have the ideal setup where I can use the Deco in router mode, connecting it directly to the ONT without needing the ISP router. If that’s not possible for your setup, there are a few options such as put the ISP router in modem mode (which I did with Virgin) or using AP mode and disable ISP router’s Wi-Fi. Also, fast roaming can be disabled if needed—I had to turn it off because my printer wouldn’t connect with it enabled, though this issue is more about the printer than the system. Beamforming can also be disabled, though I didn’t find it necessary. Conclusion: if you have lower ISP speeds or don’t require top speeds everywhere I would recommend this unit but for high ISP speeds(Greater than 500Mbp) a tri band option would be much better.

Great device with very little maintenance
The X50 was a successor to my Deco E4s, why did I upgrade? faster more compact and better range that the E4s. Mesh Technology allows you to connect as many as these bad boys together as you want, stick one in every room if you desire, as you move through the house and the signal from another Deco is then picked up by your device and switches automatically, not like a repeater more like an exact copy of the wifi signal. The features i find useful in the X50s are the beam forming to direct signal towards devices that are using bandwidth, the optimisation feature that scans the network and moves devices around to reduce congestion. The schedule feature to reboot the Devices every X days etc, i use this for a daily reboot of the X50 and find it keeps them running sweet. They have ethernet connections two in each hub and I have two for a 3 bed house across one floor, so things like the Hive Hub, Hue Hub and anyone of the wired HUBs can connect to them wired. Speed is important and regardless of where i am in the house i max my 160mb broadband speed, after testing with an iPhone in each room, 0 packet loss, 8-12ms ping time and 1ms jitter. overall verry impressed. 150 devices can connect to a deco, X50, if you need more than that then grab a tin hat at the same time as its going to cook your brain. In summary, great value, performance and a strong signal that is worth upgrading to

Don't add to a Deco M9 Plus network
Decided I needed to improve my network as still few dark corners in house getting poor signal. As these are newer than my M9 Plus devices I put one of these as the Main device connected to my router via ethernet. At that point my network starting to play up, had devices on my network not able to connect, or connect then drop intermittently. Wife trying to Netflix whilst I did this, lets just say I can still eat soft solids, but she wan't happy. Eventually it started to settle down on network drop outs, but still not as smooth as my original network. Reverted back to M9 Plus as Main (whilst wife was out), and things have been more stable for past few days. The AX50 are on the network, but I have lost confidence in them for a stable connection. Going to keep the devices, use them in less priority areas, but this was not the simple process I thought it would be, nor why i bought them, thought they would be newer and greater. The Deco App is pants to be polite. I had the app open on my tablet and phone at same time, and got different responses as to what was connected. The web URL was slow to update. TP Link do some good quality bits, but there Mesh network needs some work. In 3 years I shall review network, and if I upgrade it will not be TP Link, maybe Amazon eero

Worth it
Uk review. That impressed ive left a review. I live in a purpose built ( fire doors ) 2 bed maisonette ( bt box was in downstairs lounge/ kitchen area ) but signal would barley reach master bedroom upstairs. Bought this as going to be wfh soon. Easy to set up. Stable signal. App easy to use. Worth every penny.

Excellent Deco Product
Wonderful product, took quite a while to setup, but upon setup it worked wonderfully, the app itself is easy to use and easy to set with your deco, the WiFi coverage is as advertised but don’t expect maximum WiFi speeds as you would Ethernet. I am very happy with this product

Good product
Unfortunately I made a huge mistake by getting this product from the UK The power adapters are not suitable for the Australian market and I would need to buy converters. Also I am unable to get Australian power adapters anywhere They are not sold as a separate item
