A Challenge to Democracy: Militant Catholicism in Modern Ireland Paperback – Illustrated, 1 May 2010

This is a very well researched and critical look at how Ireland was shaped by the Catholic Church. Particularly liked the inclusion of the pamphlets that used to be given out outside church - 'What not to do on a date', 'Freemasonry and the Devil', etc. We still have some of these at home. Amazing to see them again. Thoroughly enjoyed this, well worth reading.
