More great work from Farrell
Farrell hits another one out of the park in this latest of his series on the “breakaway civilization,” hidden finance, and secret space program. He is in fine form as he tackles the intricate web of clues, documentation, and connections between some very interesting and important events and trends in our society. This book goes into more detail about the secret black projects world that grew out of the Cold War military-intelligence-finance complex. At the center of this mysterious and massively powerful force in our world is the ultimate secret of the UFO.Farrell examines the situation the leaders of our country, at least the defense establishment, were faced with as the Cold War blossomed along with the tremendous upsurge in UFO activity. He explores the connection of UFO activity to nuclear weapons, and explains how the belligerent and sometime fatal intrusions into highly classified military areas painted a picture that UFOs posed a very serious threat to our country, if not our planet.Leaders in charge of safety and defense could not help but see UFOs as a serious threat. They invaded nuclear weapons areas, caused serious problems with nuclear missiles and warheads, even starting actual launch sequences in some cases. They also fired on and destroyed interceptors, sometimes killing the pilots who challenged their intrusions. They have also chased and harassed civilian airliners, causing the pilots of same to engage in emergency evasion which sometimes injured passengers. These are not benevolent space brothers, folks. Forget the New Age nonsense.Farrell details how he sees these leaders would react and behave given the information they had about the risk and danger posed by UFOs, and the technological and financial race they would have started to accelerate our technological progress to meet this challenge.Along the way, we meet some interesting, mysterious, and powerful people who had large parts to play in this drama, whether we knew their names or not.He also brings into focus the information from ancient texts, and how that would have informed the assessment of the UFO danger, and how those texts spoke about our situation in relation to possible future developments. He even brings into focus the phenomenon of Crop Circles and adds his usual deep insight into how those might figure into the scheme of our relationship with UFOs.He also brings up the now clearcut evidence for some form of massive space activity around Saturn, and the historical roots of that evidence. As always, he is meticulous, detailed, and thorough, using only material which can be documented, often from highly trusted sources. His take on the problems and challenges which faced the people who were charged with responding to this threat is interesting and makes a great deal of sense. This is another fine piece of writing and research, and deftly advances Farrell's constant move forward to peel back the layers of our hidden history. I love how much I learn from Farrell's work, and can't wait for more. (I am almost finished with his other recent book, Financial Vipers of Venice, which I will also review.)Highly recommended.

Brings a lot of Dr. Farrell's work together - loved it and I've read'em all
The subject of UFOs is tackled in an obtuse way in this book...it makes little appearance but is implicit throughout the book. It's springboard, other than Dr Farrell's other works, is Richard Dolan's idea presented in his series of books 'UFOs and the National Security State' and brings Dolan's idea with a wealth of previously uncovered 'dots' - some very well evidenced (and the book is as usual heavily footnoted and referenced as experienced readers will expect) and some more speculative (and some that are way speculative...yet reasoned). However, it is the overall picture that is painted with these dots that presents a frame of historical reference that is to me unprecendented and has extremely good explanatory power regarding the history of our age. The UFO is the puzzle piece of history lost behind the couch - and this book not only puts it in context, but as well provides a very good insight into the cultural context and rationale of our oligarchs and why history has gone the way it has since WWII.It is a big big huge story, and regular readers of Dr Farrell's work will be well rewarded while newbies will get thrown a bit into the thick of it, but will also see the appeal of reading Dr Farrell...a frame of reference that is rich in explaining our inscutable world.Well recommended, and I have them all. It's a "whopper-dozie" for sure. Our world is not as it seems, and that was on purpose. This book makes it easier to see perhaps how it actually is (or may be) and how things got this way.

very informative but not light reading by any stretch of the imagination.
like all of joe farrell's books, this is just jam-packed w/thought-provoking speculation & puzzle pieces you're not likely to find presented together in such a manner elsewhere; but he writes in a dense style, not easy to read, & you basically need to have ALL of his collectiveworks togethe to cross-reference in order to find out the answers to your questions. if joseph wrote in a more reader-friendly style, i'd easily give all of his books a "5".

Crop circles, and the unseen breakaway civilization vs. "the others" never had a better investigation than this book!
I too am a great reader of Farrell's books. This one is particularly fascinating in that he addresses current issues and long standing issues, like crop circles. His chapter on that phenomenon has information that I had, heretofore, never read. I have been interested in the glyphs for decades, but rarely could find anyone who addressed their meaning, let alone, origin. That chapter alone makes this a book of value for anyone equally interested in decoding these circles. This has been a book that really fits the description, "hard to put down". I have read the first two in this series and feel that this concluding edition is one of his best books ever...and that covers decades and a shelf full of valuable insights and little heralded facts. His discerning discussions throughout this book of the breakaway civilization vs. "the others" gives fresh clarity to individual events and technologies that are near "magic" to the average individual. I surely would be far less informed and far more frustrated with events and issues that are never, or nearly never addressed in the publishing world, were it not for his prolific pen.

A mind blowing journey as usual
I was glued to each and every page of this 3rd installment of the breakaway civilization series, just as I was with the first 2 volumes. Dr Farrell develops novel and fascinating theories that help us understand the underpinnings of what might just be happening under the good of secrecy and mystery involving subjects that so many don't want to approach with a 10 mile pole. I just wish the book could go on I was so drawn in. I highly recommend the breakaway civilization series to anyone who is curious about knowing what the heck is really happening.

DON'T MISS THIS - IT'S A GREAT, ERUDITE, INFORMATIVE READ!
Superb, erudite, deeply researched and written with great enthusiasm. Dr. Farrell deserves a great deal more publicity than he currently enjoys.Much of what he talks about is actually 'Hidden in Plain Sight'; if only people really use their given common sense. Trouble is, unless someone like Dr. Farrell comes along and prods humanity into sitting up and taking proper notice, nothing will ever be done about the way we are currently hood-winked, be it done for our good or otherwise. I say 'for our GOOD' in the light of one of Dr. Farrell's hypotheses that 'those in the know' (the breakaway civilization) MAY be somehow trying to protect humanity from 'The Others' (ie. too many UFO reports to be blamed on Nazi technology inheritance) by their use of uncountable financial resources taken from unwitting humanity to enable this to be realized. Who knows? What I DO know, however, is that this is a book that should be read by everyone with even the slightest interest in the fate of humanity. It is an excellent book and VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as are all Dr. Farrell's others. DON'T MISS IT!

Not such a bad thing when you consider how 'heavy' the Roswell book ...
More in the continuing saga of Farrell's theory. The latest books are a tad patronising in their repetition, when compared to his older books. Not such a bad thing when you consider how 'heavy' the Roswell book was. Tracing the evolution of the breakaway society from it's routes at the end of WWII, into an alternative world that exists today, manipulating governments and financial markets around the world. Similar in context to the 'Octopus' network investigated by Danny Casselero before his demise. An interesting read for fans of this genre.
