Imperium Press Iliad -

Previous editions pale in comparison, IP has done the Western world a great service and will be remembered for generations to come.

I'm the type prone to buying multiple copies of much-loved books and classics, but even if you're not, this new edition is worth purchasing to go alongside your other copy of Iliad for a few reasons:1. Almost everyone reading Iliad is reading a translation, and therefore the skill and artistry of the translator is of paramount importance. When you buy different translations of the same text, you are getting an actually different book. And this is a beautiful and poetic rendering.2. The book is physically attractive and easy to read, unlike other, unwieldy editions.3. Ricardo Duchesne, defender of Western history and culture, has written a introduction.4. You're supporting a wonderful company, Imperium Press, whose goal is to provide an intellectual, European-friendly alternative to the rot of mainstream publishing houses.5. This is the greatest epic in Western literature; there's no such thing as "iliad buyer's remorse."

Really impressed with the quality of this book. I own a few Iliads and so was hesitant to buy. But when it arrived I could see the craftsmanship and effort which went into the book. The translation is fantastic and the book is produced in the spirit of the text which is the most important thing. Well done Imerium press.

One of the better translations in circulation. The introductory essay by Professor Ricardo Duchesne alone is worth the price of the book. Further, this translation has one of the best, and most detailed, indexes I’ve had the pleasure of reading and reviewing in some time. I look forward to more works from this publisher.
