Spellbinders S4-295 Nestabilities Lacey Squares Etched/Wafer Thin Dies

I make and sell greeting cards to benefit our local library, and have quite a few sets of Spellbinder dies. This five-piece 'lacy squares' set is quite nice for making labels on all sorts of cards (see customer image above for a sympathy card decorated with the next-to-the-smallest lacy square). I print the sentiment, e.g. 'with sympathy' on card-stock, then fit the die around the words and run it through the die machine twice, once to cut and once to emboss.As with all of the Spellbinder die sets, good directions are included on how to use these dies with Cuttlebug, Big Kick & Big Shot, Spellbinders Wizard and Grand Calibur machines. I usually run them through my Grand Calibur machine.

Love this Die, but I can not get clean cuts with my Big Shot. I follow all the You Tube instructions and I also have to put extra volume to may cutting sandwich.Muy lindo Die, pero no logro un corte limpio con mi Big Shot. I've been paper crafting for over twenty years and have used several different dies. Some are good - some not so good. I know when I purchase any die from Spellbinders, it will create a beautifully clean and perfect cut. Even though I have a cutting machine, you just can't get that embossed like edge - slightly curved inward - which really gives a more professional looking edge with every cut. Regardless of what you're cutting - thick cardstock, thin paper, or cotton cardstock, all will cut perfectly and are easy to remove from the die.

This is a very good die cutting system and embossing dies. But I have found that they work better with there own cutting machine. You can do them in the cuttlebug and they cut really well. But as far as embossing I still have had trouble with it. I recently purchased the Spellbinder machine and hopefully it will work better on the embossing. I haven't got to try it yet but hopefully it will work.

I really like the precision and intricacy of the loops that the die creates.It is easy to cut out and looks good whether it is nested or not.It also nests well with some of my other dies.I have cut it to use the loops as a border and also threaded ribbon through it.Very happy with this choice.

Another die set that I rarely use. However, I don't make too many square cards. Would probably be great for square cards or for a scrapbooker using square photos.

These are one of my favorite sets! Best to use wax papet first so the loops are easier to get out of the die. so fun to see the embossing feature too. Love them so much I ordered the round ones!! So cute!!
