Just what he wanted!
My grandfather has had one of these for ages. When his broke and wanted another we searched and found this one. He loves it. Works just like his older one.

Great for passwords.
The product will serve its purpose for convenient storage of passwords. The base is metal but the top, slide, and button release are made of plastic. Overall it appears to be sturdy. The cards are made of stock and are easily removed and replaced, but care should be taken when doing so as the tabs that hold the cards in place can be easily bent. The space for recording information on the card is more than adequate for passwords or phone numbers, but it would be difficult to record an address. Overall I am pleased with the product.

Easy To Use
Several of the letters are combined on one page making it restricted as to how many entries you can make. Would have been nice to have more space/less letters combined. Only been using it a week or so, we shall see how it holds up. I like having the finder along both edged I thing it will help the pages hold up longer.

Jaws of life--beware :)
I got 2 of these to put in my most frequently used passwords- at PC desk and at laptop desk (yeah, that's the way I roll). I have a BIG book of all my passwords but some I use way more than others so I wanted a fast access and had the brilliant idea to get these when I realized you could still buy them--yowza!!So my first day of filling one in I went to close it and #%%$^ I got the pad of a finger too close to the back hinge and ended up with a very sore blood blister --grrr. Hurt like a mo-fo for days. But I'm 77 yrs frisky and I got over it and now am very careful upon closing or opening the lid. I'm glad I went RETRO ;)

For those who get tired of flipping pages of a directory, this is the cat's meow! Slide to the letter, hit the button, and your info is right there with no muss, fuss, or bother. I am very pleased to have found this item. They're hard to come by!

Non functional, poorly designed,
The product arrived in satisfactory condition. However it does not work. The product is poorly designed.The index pages do not fit underneath the metal slider. Therefore no matter what letter page you want to access the first letter page pops up (A). Do no waste your money you will just return it as I did

Retro replacement for an elderly family member. Nothing fancy or electronic, they love it.
