Maine Street Bee was founded by Melissa Dupuis, owner and creator. As an organic gardener, Melissa spent many a summer's day nose-to-antenna with insects and pollinators that used to occupy a large presence in our environment. Melissa's passion for the environment has played a huge role in her life and was the inspiration for her business. Today, Melissa utilizes beekeeping for the creation of all of our 100% beeswax candles. As well as honey, numerous natural beeswax skincare products, bee gifts, and a dog paw wax packaged in a biodegradable push-up tube. Says Melissa, "I am committed to keeping harmful chemicals out of our products using only natural, organic and fair-trade ingredients, and plastic-free, compostable, recyclable packaging with zero negative impact on the environment." It's that simple. Please remember that all of our beeswax candles are poured by hand at our Maine studio, right here in the US. Warm glow. Long lasting.
These candles have a beautiful glow and cast a warm light. Although the price point is on the higher side, they burn consistently for a long time. Not a fast burn like a rolled candle. The wicks relight without difficulty. I have not had them gutter or go out at all. And no worries about lead or added chemicals — just all natural beeswax and hemp wicks — which is peace of mind for overall well-being. Although the price point is on the higher side, the quality makes them a high value purchase.

What a Dinky Rip-Off, Don't Waste Your Time or Money
Once this candle arrived, it was small and had no fragrance whatsoever. I was looking forward to the wonderful smell of beeswax and this thing is nothing but a dud. I gave it the benefit of the doubt by lighting it to see if that would bring any fragrance forward, and nothing. To call this a beeswax candle is a lie and a joke. It doesn't even smell like wax. Don't waste your time or money.

Love it! Great Quality
I've been buying beeswax candles for a while now because they last way longer and are nontoxic. This one is beautiful and high quality. It is the exact dimensions as described, will be ordering again!
