Hydro Flask Day Escape Soft Insulated Cooler

When the cooler arrived I brought it in and opened it to acclimate to my home temp of 75 degrees. I placed a frozen Blue Apron ice pack in it (12X8X1) by itself and checked on it 24 hours later. I'd say about 1/3 of it was still frozen. I checked again around 6 hours later and the ice was gone but still very cold. I did not catch how long it stayed cold but I would guess at least a few more hours for a total of around 35 hours of cold. I'm very impressed. I don't know if Yeti is as cold or colder but for basically half the price I'm happy. The zipper, as mentioned in other reviews, is a bit stiff but I think it is worth the extra effort because it is waterproof, along with the whole bag. I put some water in it, turned it upside down for several moments while shaking it and not a drop of water came out. It's nice to know if it falls over in transport it will not leak on anything. Not knowing what the materials to make it cost I can only guess that it's a bit overpriced, but I doubt if anything else works as well so if it's in your budget go ahead and buy it!

This cooler is perfect, keeps things cold. Just like the competitors cooler, only more affordable.

Compared this $150 cooler to a much cheaper AO cooler and it didn’t hold ice nearly as long. It looks great but the main purpose is to keep things cold. It underperforms for the price by a lot. Go with something else.

It does not keep items cold. We prepped the bag before use and it didn’t keep anything cold.I missed the window to return so now we are just out the money.

Zipper is too hard to operate for regular humans. The opening is difficult to load larger items. Great brand, we own several items from Hydoflask but this bag is a miss for us.
