I Love the large size
Mailboxes aren't the most exciting thing to buy. We needed a new one because a plow or a wayward car took ours out in the last snowstorm, lucky us. This is strong and well made in the USA. It has very few places for bugs to get in. Our last one has huge gaps and was bug heaven, yuck! I Love the large size, since we order often from Amazon. This can hold up to medium packages, say size of two tissue boxes stacked either side by side or on top of one another. So for us, that's nice and save the drivers a few extra minutes, which they like. The door lines up correctly and shuts securely. As long as no one takes a bat or a car to it, this will last a very long time. And if they do hit it, I'll just hit reorder, it's that nice. And the price is really good. Not going to break my heart or the bank if it gets wrecked again. Though, if they did hit it with a bat, it probably hurt them more then the box. It's really well made and a thick steel. So really, I'm just worrtied about cars and plows taking it down and scratching the nice black paint job. The box is tank. Though surprisingly not that heavy.

Sturdy and large. Fits most packages.
This mailbox is easy to install as it comes with pre-drilled holes in the base if you're installing it on a post like normal. I, however, had to install it to a tree, as my town snowplow made a habit to killing my mailbox several times each season. The steel construction is sturdy enough to allow me to drill two large holes in the back panel, and screw 3 inch lag bolts directly into a tree at my roadside. The plow has not hit it once in 2 years, so hopefully I am safe! The size is large enough to accommodate pretty large boxes (think large laundry soap boxes, boot boxes, or a NYC phone book (if you remember what a large phone book is). We order stuff online weekly, and everything usually fits right in the box. The flag has a plastic stopper, so when you put the flag up, it stays up until the mailman puts it down. Good quality, good finish. No rust or problems 2 years in.

A great large mailbox!
I purchased this mailbox in hopes to be able to put all our mail in the box, and not have it jammed up (more the postal carrier shoving it in), but the box is huge, works great, had to bend snap to release tension so box cover would snap shut. I am not sure what security measures they are talking about other than the cover snaps shut and stays shut. Seems to be watertight (mail is dry). No insects get in the box. Painted with a glossy white finish. The "flag" is plastic which may or may not hold up to repeated use (it's a shame since the box is metal). Time will tell, but it was very easy to install with a drill and impact driver (fits the 4x4 on a typical mailbox frame. Well made.

Excellent mailbox for it's price range - our first one lasted for many years before snowplow damage
Haven't installed this yet on timber post that I built as I'm in the middle of refurbishing it waiting for paint to dry, etc; old beat up one still on temporarily, but I don't expect any trouble doing so. It arrived on time and in perfect shape via UPS. It happens to be the exact same model that I've had for years (finally done in by a snowplow, possibly mine) so I think this is a good value that lasted for many years on our rural road. I disagree with reviewers that complained that it was hard to open and close, or that the latch may not be secure after a little wear (it's a friction fit inside latch, pretty standard stuff on a non-fancy rural mailbox just bend the metal latch tab for goodness sake), or that it is 'thin metal' and deforms too easily - Magilla Gorilla the Mailman?, or the aluminum flag is held on with a plastic part and broke quickly - bad Magilla, no touch flag! and various other very minor quibbles. C'mon! Folks it's a nicely made, nice looking mailbox for it's price range. Opens and closes fine, flag works fine, keeps the weather out just fine. Out here in the country that's what most people want, because chances are the plow is going to take it out sooner or later whether it's a $25 or a $200 box. In fact it's well enough made that I could have repaired the old one sufficiently to keep it (I have the shop, the tools and the skills even though it was partially crushed with the back popped off. At 25 bucks for a nice looking brand new one instead of a beat up looking repaired one why bother. If you feel that you need an 8 gauge cold rolled steel super heavy duty mailbox that's powder coated and has a machined latch with a bolt on welded flag this one's not for you. Maybe a local shop will make one up for you for a few hundred. The snow and the plow will still laugh.

Great mailbox!
Built like a tank and looks great. The door seals nicely and the install was simple enough if you have a good cordless drill. The only problem is the instructions were a bit small.

Great Price, Not Great Quality, Some Manufacturer Suggestions
For the price, quite a deal, but there's a lot that I don't like about it. I'd hope the manufacturer could offer a few additions. 1) As others have stated, no numbers and no screws. 2) I had white on black numbers, and they don't really go, but they'll work. Offering white on this green would help as I'd bet Home Depot and Lowes don't offer the same color. 2) Green screws would be good. My bracket came with screws, but silver screws on the dark green mailbox just look odd. (See attached pictures.) 3) Not great quality. I'm guessing it won't last for very long. There's some odd curves in the forming and it didn't fit cleanly on the bracket. The door has a bend in it and while it closes, it doesn't close great. They also put on the door and painted, so there's no paint on the steel under where the door connects. I'm guessing if the drivers and snow plow don't kill the mailbox first, weather will. Unpainted exteriors are just going to collect moisture and rust. Assuming it makes it a year and I remember, I'll see about updating this review to see whether my predictions are right.

Buen producto

Very mailboxy.
Arrived on time and in good shape. The box is super sturdy and large enough for small and medium packages/newspapers. The colour is attractive. The finish was an excellent surface for painting on our house number. The flag stays up and the door closes securely. We're in a rural area, so we'll soon find out how it stands up to snow/snow plows. Fingers crossed. ☺ UPDATE: One-and-a-half winters later and the box still looks good. For anyone who'd rather paint their house number than stick on adhesive: I used Americana Multi-surface Satin acrylic paint on this mailbox. I did not cure in the oven (as suggested) but let it sit out in the hot sun for a couple of days. After more than a year, it hasn't chipped, peeled, or faded at all. UPDATE 2: It's 2026 and we're still using this. Just survived a hit with a delivery van. It's started to rust in the last two years, and I came to see about possibly replacing it. When we bought this mailbox in 2018 it was $45. I guess we'll sand and repaint lol

Large in size, good quality
Wanted a large mailbox for rural use and this mailbox is definitely large. It fits a lot of packages and mail - it's also very sturdy and the green is true to the photo. Hoping this mailbox will stand the test of time!
